Three fluke trips last couple weeks down SE.... If I eat anymore fluke I’ll probably break out into head shakes

Up next is bones, head shaking just thinking about that... :-)

Oh, how’s this,I’m first guy out of Barnstable ramp the other morning just b 4 first light, had the whole harbah to myself, just perfect....

I’m 10 yds off a bar throwing eels at the bar, there’s 100 yds + between me and a beach on the other side of me,,,, next boat out is a tin with a single guy,,, no spring chick, guess what side he goes by WOT,,,,, a hole

I’m not sure who I hate more, the a hole boat guys or the a hole drivers this year... September, bring it on

We limited out on every trip earlier this season, fishing in about 35' depth. Same spots are slow now.......intel reports say good numbers being caught in 50' to 60'

Back in my boating days I’d be on the deeper ledges off gay head early am for stripers and switch to drifting and bouncing 2-3 oz jigs tipped with 7” split tails and usually get a limit over a morning of jigging. Humps topped off at 30 feet with 100 around it

I don’t get surprised by people as often thinking this way.

Had a 47 inch fish on a Saltheart lead round jig head this morning that he gave me. I think I have2 left. After I caught a few fish on other jigs I usually throw his on catch one fish and then take it off.

Nice Paul

Along the banks this morning on my way back I saw 2 different spots where they had a tent setup and at one spot a charcoal grille was grilling steaks.

I chose the wrong locations today. Only had fish show for 5 minutes just before 6.

Haha. It is crazy. Weekends are ridiculous. I went to SN last night and walked for miles and had my only smallish fish on my last cast. Saw Bert and Ernie there too. Super slow night.

I got my 3 and a half year old up at 5 this morning to fish a pond inlet at incoming water to attempt to get him his first striper. He hooked and had one on for about five seconds. I was definitely more excited than he was for those few seconds. Will try again tomorrow.
