EPA my arse!

Second longest heat wave on the east coast in history, record heat and out of control wild fires out west for the second year in a row, but hey there isn't any global warming going on......fake news......nothing to see there.

We move out one #^&#^&#^&#^& head who has no interest in protecting the environment, but he had an interest in milking the system and now DJT (big believer in global warming and protecting the environment) is going to move in another who is likely to be worse than Pruitt was; but he will get those coal miners cranking again.

Trump will be THE GREATEST at doing the most harm to the environment by any recent admission, now it’s rolling back emission control and efforts dating back to Ronald Reagan to put cleaner and more efficient vehicles on the road.

Yet, collectively, we the people voted this administratin in. Listening to the House and Senate reps seeking re-election by riding the royal highness'' coattails, it's really nauseating.

Normal number of 90 degree days is 13, this year will blow that away, but our POTUS I’m sure still doesn’t buy into the global warming “hoax”. Hey he is the smartest president of all time, just has him if England changed their name to the UK😂. Florida is experiencing massive wildlife deaths due to record red tide, the west is ablaze and we are looking at yet another stretch of brutal heat, lets throw some more fuel on the fire Donald.

Funny stuff and I’m sure your grandkids and their children will enjoy the weather. Better stock up on the 50 block. I used to enjoy a few warm summer days, but these long stretches are brutal.

The Trump administration has overturned bans on the use of pesticides linked to declining bee populations and the cultivation of genetically modified crops in US national wildlife refuges.

The policy is the latest in a series of Obama administration environmental restrictions to be reversed by the government of President Donald Trump, who campaigned on a platform of rolling back government regulations on business.

regardless of the effects on the environment or the People if it has Obama name on it its got to go .. what a way to make policy

What should be of paramount concern to people is that the EPA, Department of the Interior etc... appear to be making significant policy decisions based entirely on special interests and not on any research or science.

Same goes for the "voter fraud" commission Trump formed that was disbanded when they found no voter fraud yet was set to announced findings of rampant fraud without any evidence according to one of it's members.

It's completely corrupt.

At a pier in San Diego, researchers on Wednesday recorded the warmest sea surface temperature since record-keeping began there in 1916.

Only 2012 and 2016 were warmer than 2017, according a new report from NOAA. The five hottest years on record in the country have been in the last decade, based on 123 years of record-keeping.

Cool pavement’ to cut urban street heat gets first California tryout in Canoga Park

The morning temperature of the black asphalt in the middle of a nearby intersection read 93 degrees. The new light gray surface on Jordan Avenue read a cool 70 — on what would turn out to be the first heat wave of the year.

States have their own EPA's. They don't have to wait for, nor depend on, the federal government to "protect" their environment.

If that’s the case, why are the feds saying they will not allow states to set their own emission standards

Can you give me a complete, state by state analysis for the 1970's?

Are you of the opinion that states, communities, people cannot evolve to meet and solve problems without a central mastermind herding them, dictating to them how, what, and where?

Is it a given for you that the citizens and politicians of a state, or community, will forever continue to destroy themselves unless the central dictator from DC saves them?

If you think so little of people and their communities, what gives you faith in those who people the federal government? You don't like the current ones. The federal pols will not always be the ones you approve of. Not always be the ones who do what you want them to do.

There is the intention that the states are the laboratory of experiments for government policy. Models that work well will be copied. Those which fail, won't.

Because the feds are acting unconstitutionally. They have created regulatory agencies the type of which there is no provision in the Constitution to do. There is no provision in the Constitution for Congress to delegate its fundamental power of legislation at all, certainly not to ANY type of unelected agency. The unelected bureaucrats of the federal regulatory agencies have plenary power to create federal laws. Only Congress is constitutionally given such power. And it is given that ability only within the small scope of powers given to it in the Constitution. And because Congress is elected, it is directly responsible for the effects of laws it passes to those who elected them.

Federal regulatory agencies cannot be checked by the people's will. They are beholden only to themselves.

And much of which the regulatory agencies do is actually outside of federally enumerated power.

If you don't like how the agencies act now, blame it on what you love--SCOTUS Judges who interpreted not the law, but what they preferred.

great question...they all lie...they all work the system to their benefit...they all try to stay in Washington as long as possible so that they can continue to lie and work the system....and that's who we want making decisions for us?

I read a little about too...the benefits seem to outweigh the costs and it's essentially coating asphalt with plastic...probably find out it causes cancer and put everyone out of business and I'd like to ban plastics...

There are many issues that transcend state borders, fish migrations for instance are coastwide, not local for many species. Rhode Island or Massachusetts can not make or enforce rules on MD to limit impacts to Striped Bass, even if it impacts recreational and commercial fishermen in their state.

Similarly, air pollution or water pollution is often not a local issue, see the Mercury issues from the Midwest traveling east or downstream impacts on rivers. The CT River starts in northernmost New England, with a watershed that ticks into Canada. Connecticut cannot make rules on Vermont or New Hampshire. Some issues are federal and need federal agencies to deal with it. That damn liberal commie hippy Nixon even knew that much....
