Promises made.......

The president promised you wouldn't pay for the wall, Now he's decided to bring government to a halt because he couldn't keep that promise. Is that fair?

He’s a con and a fraud. If he hadn’t won the genetic gene pool lottery he’s be selling used cars in Trenton NJ

It's an obvious, explicit broken promise. He deserves criticism for that. Do you give him any praise for the promises he has kept? Or do you only care about his failures? Does he have any successes, or are 100% of the good things that have happened since 2016, solely attributable to Obama?

Pelosi will look as impressive as Margaret Thatcher once that imbecile socialist from Queens arrives. She’s...whew. i don’t think she gets invited to too many MENSA picnics. She’ll make that Miss South Carolina candidate from a few years ago, look sharp. It’s all free! Everything can be free!

Just remember it's far easier to be a brilliant conservative freshman representative.
All one has to do is say no to almost everything, except a wall, police or military spending and currently deficits and tariffs, then you'd be a shining conservative star. Why they'd probably make them Speaker of the House.

he inherited the buildings?

obviously he was born with a platinum spoon in his mouth. but he has made a living in construction in NYC, meaning he has navigated around regulations, politicians, unions, and the mob. his book, which i never read, was a big best seller. for some godforsaken reason his tv show was popular.

he has a lot of employees who get paid every two weeks. he’s doing some big things right. obviously he didn’t start from scratch like many people do. but he hasn’t just sat back and spent the interest in his trust fund either.

he’s not as impressive as he thinks he is ( neither was obama). He’s not the complete fraud you think he is, either.

Trump should have sat back. He would have made more money. How many bankruptcies has he gone through ? 6?

bankruptcy protection is there for a reason. if we don’t want people to use it, we can do away with it.

you tell me how obamas resume prior to 2008, was anywhere near as accomplished as Trumps. A CEO versus a community organizer with one partial term as a us senator, during which time he did exactly nothing except write his memoirs. you’re not gonna win that one.

Individual 1does not own most of the buildings with his name on them. Some of them his organization manages. He always had a good Reputation as far as managing the properties. With some of the properties he has absolutely nothing to do with them.

Yesterday’s meeting open to the public was a perfect example of Trumps inability to talk about anything but the GD border wall, as if that is the biggest problem we are facing. Showed me why he scares me with his hands on the nuclear codes, when he throws a hissy fit over someone pointing out the fact he keeps threatening a shutdown in order to get his wall. Like chuck took a lollipop from a toddler and Trump being Trump took the bait and whined like a baby.

It a lie, only if he knew when he said it, that he wasn't going to pursue it. How might you know that?

And what was it (a broken promise or a lie), when Obama campaigned in 2008 about immigration reform ion his first term, and didn't deliver? Wait! Lemme guess!! It was George Bush's fault?

Certainly not if it requires reading an owners manual first, but maybe after two years he has gotten by the intro and into the meat.

The code is simply to type in your worst flaw. Since Trump is in capable of pointing out any of his flaws he would never be able to solve the code

Nebe, can you tell me why it's not pertinent for me to ask Spence why he calls it a "lie" when Trump fails to meet promises, when he would never, under any circumstance hold Obama to the same standard?

Nebe, it's very easy to lob baseless insults. It's a lot harder to respond to what I'm actually saying, and to show me why I'm wrong. I know that's harder, because you never do it.

The libs refused to criticize Obama for these things, they attack Trump mercilessly for doing some of the same things. And if you point put the naked hypocrisy, you are guilty of whataboutism. So to you Nebe, being a hypocrite isn't a character flaw, but pointing out hypocrisy, is a character flaw. That just makes all kinds of sense.

No, he had a chance and didn't do it in his first two years. That was disappointing. Then congress flipped and it was basically off the table. Obama was far from perfect. There are many things he did I disagree with. I wish at times things were done in a more bi-partisan way, but with Mitch McConnells sole goal to make him a one-term president, not much was going to get done.

There is a difference between not getting a campaign promise done and a lie.

Trump lies, daily. He lies about the wall. He lies about the funding for the wall. He lies about improvements in the wall, which was basically the same process the last two administrations have done. He lies about 10 terrorists, he lies about Saudi Arabia.

See the difference?

"(Obama) had a chance and didn't do it in his first two years."

Agreed. He could have kept his promise, and chose not to.

"There is a difference between not getting a campaign promise done and a lie."

Also true. It appears you're saying Obama didn't lie about immigration reform, he just chose not to do it. How is that different from Trumps campaign promise about the wall, exactly? It would appear Trump could have done it if he wanted, his party controlled congress, but he chose not to pursue it. To me, it looks exactly like Obama and immigration reform. Both men made promises, both had party control of both chambers of Congress, both seem to have chosen to ignore the promise.

"Trump lies, daily"

He lies a lot, yes. I don't know, and I don't see how you or Spence could know, if hos promise to build a wall was a lie, or a broken campaign promise, which you admit Obama is also guilty of.

"See the difference?"

I see differences in the two men, absolutely. In terms of how Obama handled immigration reform, and how Trump handled construction of the wall? Many more similarities.

Did Obama take responsibility for not doing immigration reform when he had a democrat congress?

Here's a video where Obama was pressed on it. What did he do? he blamed REPUBLICANS. He had control of the house and for a time, a filibuster - proof majority in the Senate! But it's the Republican's fault, not Obama's. In this video, Obama blames everyone but himself, and lies about why it didn't happen. That doesn't remind you of Trump?
