The United States has reported a record 58,146 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday as of 9 p.m., the most in a single day since the pandemic began, according to data from Johns Hopkins University
We are certainly ready to open schools in less than a couple months.

People are doing that here, it’s why we are doing as well as we are on the back side of the curve. Most of the country is not especially if they’re earlier in the wave.

That’s because we got hit early. They’ve learned a lot from that on how to treat and the average age of those sick has dropped significantly.

Funny the administration is also pushing that line.. well the death rate is Low..

Yet many hosptials ICUs are at or near capacity New infections rates are still climbing ..exposing more people to the disease.. and. Its effects but the death rate is low so we'll keep rolling the dice.

The right loves this kind of response.. no gun control. Reason school shooting rarely happen
Global warming . Answer it still snows??
Donald Trump
Look at my 401k
Police reforms ans blacks kill black more than police

His supporters want to cherry pick their support .

I had friends who couldn't believe i voted for Obama
Jokingly i said i voted for the white half .. even that wasn't enough. I was told i voted for him so i own him.

Now theses same friends and some here don't want to apply the same standard to themselves

You're just throwing out statistics with no context and hence have no value. Thank god you don't do scientific research.

Trump: "Well, I think we are in a good place."
Fauci: "We're facing a serious problem now."
On coronavirus testing
Trump: "We're almost up to 40 million in testing, which is unheard of."
Fauci: "This is the thing that is a little bit concerning: You say, well, we now have 37 million tests ... There are still lapses there where the dots are not being connected."
On the mortality rate
Trump: "If you look at the chart of deaths, deaths are way down."
Fauci: "It's a false narrative to take comfort in a lower rate of death."

Let’s see one guy is a perpetual liar and really cares only about his 2020 chances, the other a long time well respected medical professional, who cares only for the safe and responsible slow of this crisis.

Who should I believe, me thinks I will go with the guy with a brain and degree.

One of two things, either Tweety or the American people are stupid.

The latest tweet
In Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and many other countries, SCHOOLS ARE OPEN WITH NO PROBLEMS. The Dems think it would be bad for them politically if U.S. schools open before the November Election, but is important for the children & families. May cut off funding if not open!

New cases
Germany 10
Denmark 11
Norway 57
Sweden 298
USA 55,442

Think of the absurdity of an Administration who wants local government to control things yet will only support those decisions when the decision is what the Pres. wants.

A large percentage of teachers are forced to buy their own school supplies, let’s pull federal funding if they don’t do as the king demands. There is a pattern here, so many times he has made statements of actions he plans to take, which he probably doesn’t even know he has no power to implement, or if he does; it’s action he would take if given the same power of his dictator friends. Once he realizes he can’t take that action, he flips into punish those he can to make someone pay the price for not following the kings wishes. Mary Trumps book probably has some great insight of why he is so f*cked up.

the president is allowed to have an opinion...like if a local government decides to disband their police force...should a president support that decision if he believes it is wrongheaded?

I don’t need a book to understand how he got to where he is, I’ve dealt with similar men with the same personality defects. Just like I don’t need a book to know who a Trump really is, his minions believe anything he says, especially the young and dumb. Shocked to see in a fishing group I belong to on facebook have a thread about masks becoming the new normal and so many suggesting this is a left hoax and that it magically disappears after November. Several even boldly stated I’m not wearing one now, screw that it’s not even as bad as the flu.

Felt like sending them pictures of what being on a ventilator can be like.

What is the pop. %?

I remember your snarky comments early on about it being all Dems states. Now it is primarily Rep. states.
