I've only used braid to spin so far.....not for Cod...I hear its great though.....as long as your "leader" is long enough....
...you wouldn't to tie direct, rip your reel right off yer rod.....  or do some kind of damage..

Sometime this season, I'm gonna throw some braid on my conventional....
..I need some practice first.....I'm still new to conventionals......as far as casting them ...

I got #80 whiplash on a penn 975 I use for jiggin at the ditch do you think thats ideal for cod
