I should put my hand in for a half dozen eels. Only fished with them once, and will be lookin' to the massas for some guidance!

Besides, I'd probably kill them by the time I get down from Marblehead!

How many days left????

Don't you guys worry there are some real eel masters here. I learned alot last year from Saltheart, Smokey, Chris L, and John. There are others that have the talent also.

Now wait just a minute...I wasn't sure if my schedule would allow me to attend...BUT when I saw that Bloo was thinking of bringing octopus stew that changes everything I just might have to show up for some photo opportunities. Actually, a few of my friends are planning a boat-based tourney that weekend...you just might see me there!

Right you are GB - my favorite Brotha from a different Motha ( OK - that was pretty bad )... Just over one month from now! I remember when this first came up I wondered if it every would arrive ...

I think I'll add some of my wife's dishes to the food list (I don't think she'd mind) but she makes a Kick Butt Shepards Pie so I may bring one regular and one Teradactyl, I mean Teriaki
Plus I'll even cook up some bagels and some fruit ....

Can't wait...

John the Shepards pie sounds great it is one of my favorites but I have never tried the KICK BUTT brand I met up with Scotch B tonight in Westport. He picked up my old GPS for his boat and we watched two boats pick up a few keepers on herring in front of the landing. Should have brought the boat Are there any runs that will still have herring in them come June 14th. I would like to take some live over to the island if possable along with the eels???

GB Those Herring will not work over there!

We tried for years but it has something to do with the salienity of the water,
the color of the sand,
the lack of a local Herring run to get them thinking Herring,
the depth of the water,
the way the current runs;
all these things are against the Bass liking Herring over there!

Eels don't work very well either but do catch 'a few' fish with eels.

Big "Hunk" Bass like wood, big wood and deer tails, plenty deer tails.

Sometimes Silver lead Kast from shore works

BUT NEVER HERRING....NEVER WORKS......

How are you all going over? Private Boats? Airplane? BM Navy?

Chet I will be going over on my boat and I think GS maybe taking his over? But for the most part everyone will be going over on the Cuttyhunk boat on Sat. unless you are offering a ride over for some fellow S-B members The boat leaves N.B. at 9:00 on Sat. and gets to the Hunk at around 10:00. We will have a cook out at say 11:00 to 12:00 and then let the fishing begin. I will post how to get to the boat soon and were to park. The cost oneway is $12.50 and you get your ticket at the dock just before the boat leaves. I have allready orderd 7dz eels for the weekend and will bring them over with me. Mar T I had already asked my local shop to get the eels for me but thank you very much for the offer to get them for us, maybe next time??

Big wood, huh? I get, well, I'm not going to go there

"BM Navy" WTH is that?

GB - are you shore fishing or boat fishing while over there? Reason is that I've screwed up my remaining good knee and won't know for a few days if I'm getting scoped or not. I'm still going even if it means I have to dunk a work off a pier - my butt is THERE!

BM Navy = Ferry Boat (f***y Boat)

Last time I checked there is No Parking Over Night on the City Pier, and no security; which means the Parking Garage on Elm Street which is a fee of $7.00 for 2 days.

John, I can carry a cripple like you on the Nor-Easter. I am trying to find a place to park that would be safe, easy, closeby and low price!

I will be taking passengers out of the "City Public Landing" which is the Pier at the Boat Ramp off East Rodney French Boulevard, just beyond the end of the Hurricane Barrier, near Davy's Locker and Billy Woods Pier. I am trying to get info on parking there.

Will post more later.

GB call me if you like....in the phone book!

GB - sounds good & I agree

bebo - Welcome aboard!

Cuttyhunk is an island between Westport and Martha's Vineyard. Perhaps one of the best Striper Hot Spot's period. It is also one of the most storied for the few that have had the chance to fish it. It is a small Island probably 1/50th the size of MV but just it's just a phenominal array of bassy structure that you'll ever see.

GB had put together a group (which booked very fast) of us over the winter to hit & fish the Island this June...

You're new to the area, where are you now and where are you from? Not in the WPP are you ;p ?

Hey thanks for the info
I'm from R.I. but i lived in florida for awhile and that's where I started fishing for reds. Now that I'm back up here stripers seem to be the fish to catch. And I'm trying like heck I caught 3 all around 14 lbs. besides the schoolies any ways those were real small.
what's Wpp????????

Is there still room for another boater ? I would like to run 90 gallons worth of live pogies over there. I am certainly amenable to picking a couple people up on the island to fish with me and the wife. I wouldn't need a place to stay as I could bop over to MV and stay with a friend.
