I hated charlie for quite a while but the annoying idiot grew on me this year. He is still an annoying idiot and id like to try to beat charlie on freshwater, or salt for that matter.

Charlie Moore funny ... yeah, okay and the world is flat!
He may be laughing all the way to the bank but if being a total ass and getting laughed at is the way to do it, then I'll just keep what income I have and be happy.
He is painful to watch at times, oh, did I mention those times are all the times. No, I have no jealousy thing going on either. I wouldn't want to be a complete idiot to be in the limelight and make a few coins.
I think I'd rather have kidney stones than watch him, his guests are the best thing on his shows and even they look like they'd like to launch his a$$ in the water at the end of the show.
Me, personally I'll pass on watching the idiot, I'd rather watch paint dry.

I would pay Tred Barta to charter out to Charlie Moore for any ocean species and sit back and watch Tred go off... "get your head in the game"
Charlie has a pretty slick gig fishing, producing other programs and royalties. Good for him, now shut up & fish.:

I actually was fishing right next to Charlie that day off the Vineyard. I went out with Jen Clark (Lenny Clark's wife) she has a charter boat out of menemsha. I was out there filming stuff for my project when she gets called from Charlie on the radio. She told him where to go and basically put him and Bobby right on the fish. Not a ton of skill involved and we all ended up catching some nice fish, although chunking off a boat isn't too sporting if you ask me.
I have to keep an eye out for that particular episode I may be in the background wearing a red ski hat. 15 minutes here I come.

I like Charlie Moore, he is making a good living doing what he likes to do.. nothing wrong with that in my book. I met him with my 3 boys at the worcester outdoor show a few years ago he was great with the kids and listened at length to my 6 year old tell him all about fluke fishin in our "secret" spot off Nomans ( I had to explain to my kid what "spot burnin" was after this conversation)

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

I was also wondering if anyone was going to get the reference.
"I didn't even know you were Jewish" - Johnny really knew how to milk a comic moment.

"Time and tides wait for no man", ... and neither do the fish.

Without a doubt I think David Sloan's show is 10 times better. Nothing against Charlie but I think the guy is a cheeseball with his corny jokes. I met him at Ernie Boch's fundraiser concert a while back ,whatta complete tool Charlie is. He has an awesome job though, love to be in his shoes

Pretty sure that was the first fishing show I saw as a kid, had to love the concept of flying all over on your own and fishing.

Charlie cracks me up. I like the mix of fishing, Boston sports stars, and his stupidity. You learn a lot about a person when you fish with them and his shows with Wakefield, Vinatieri, Bill Lee, etc... bring a little insight into those guys. All these shows have their plusses and minuses. Charlie is entertaining more often than not.

I totally agree with being a tool on your show to get people to watch... But dont be a tool in person!
