yep - first saw Tool as a sidestage band at Lallapalooza in 92 or 93??? I've seen them probably a dozen times. Favorite show was 2000 in NYC at the Roseland ballroom. I was ten feet from Adam the whole night - couldnt hear for two days

Best I've seen live:
Richie Hayward (Little Feat)
Ginger Baker
Karl Palmer
Kieth Moon
John Bonham (also loudest)
Max Weinberg (E-Street Band)
Oh, yeah and the guy in the Safaris (WipeOut!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Stewart Copland gets my vote too Jimmy.....original for sure...love his style....heard a rumor today the the Police are going to tour..
I saw him a couple years ago with Oysterhead as well as with the Police many moons ago...still amazing...
me too ... always liked him .. another guy that does a bunch of little fills that might go un noticed ... I never followed Stink after the Police broke up... Stewart Coplands vibe did it for me ..
Nice and an old favirote Stanley Clark ... I remember he started all that snapping strings funky jazz groove .. I believe He was the first to start that stuff .. now its common
Thanks !
If you put one these polls to the best drummers in the world,( not to just the every day music fan ) Steve Gadd is the guy they all look up to
is at the top of all their list !
Hal Blaine was good in his day also !
Best drummers I've seen live :
Keith Moon--1975
Billy Cobham--several times,Mahavishnu Orchestra and Bobby and the Midnites
Corky Laing--1975
Matt Abst--2005,2006 REALLY GOOD--Government Mule's drummer
I also remember Ed Shaughnessy from the Tonight Show band, excellent.
I always wondered where this version came from I guess youtube answered me
I had this on bootleg years and years ago and always got a big kick out of it.
some good drumming here too
The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
Thanks Karl, some great memories there. If i'm not mistaken, that was Dizzy Gillespie on the horn in part 1.Part 2 had alot of Cole.
Saw a drum battle between Cole and Krupa at the Metropole in NY with both of them behind the bar so close ya could touch them.
Good times there with all the greats, Satchmo Armstrong, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton to name a few. Different times, but great music.
Me !
I came across this clip from back when i was young http://www.jamesreilly.net/brdgmn/bmn82bmj.mov
