It's %$#@ tough taking pix to show detail in my shop for the "How To". First set came out like crap. Any suggestions on what kind of lighting will help clear up my pics? I have flouresence in my shop and pics come out like crap and I can't bring my wrapper outside.....

Did up a set of diamonds under the collector 50 guide on a 1201M yesterday. Spent 3 freakin hours on it from start to finish between measuring, re-measuring, grabbing a beer, and grabbing another beer. Hoping to get around to finishing the whole rod this week some time. Will put up pics once she is done. Matches the black and silver diamonds I posted earlier.

I was going to show some wraps last month but was never happy with the photo quality.
I run into the same problem that it looks like Reelecstasy has.
To do a realative close up of a wrap it get blurry. I know it is just operator error but it seems most photos have this problem. Anyone have any hints on how to get nice clear pics? I know at the time I made the camera show the little flower symbol for close ups but that didn't solve the problem.

Not that I practice what I preach, but sometimes if you hold a white piece of copy paper over the flash it disperses the light to avoid the glare. I take pics for our company website sometimes and thats what I do, tides us over on a new product till the professionals can take the pics.

My only wrap this year
I finally finished the only rod that I built this season. This blank has an interesting history. A friend of mine found a 10' rod that had been discarded. The cork was all rotted and the wraps had been varnished (not flex coated) and were falling apart.
He gave it to me and I stripped it down to find a Lamiglas label. I took it to CMS and they figured it was an early 80's S-glass cut down to 10'. In any case, I cleaned the blank up and retied it and she's ready for a 50 lbr
