Pre-Order Eelskin Juniors "Clogston Style"
Thanks to a brilliant innovation dreamed up by S-B's own Josh Clogston, I have been able to make what I believe will be best incarnation of Atom Junior/Eelskin swimmer that there is. His design incorporates a length of chain hanging from the tail of the plug to offset the weight lost when the rear hook is removed. It also serves to add action to the skin and will allow you to use a longer section of skin because the chain won't allow the skin to wrap around itself.
I will be doing them in 3 colors:
Black
Eelskin Blue
Eel
No eyes, one 3/0 VMC belly hook and a length of chain for the tail.
-Dave

I forgot to mention that there is a slot for tying the skins off behind the head of the plug.

I don;t have pix, I only have my prototypes and they're not pretty . They look just like an Atom Jr, but with a groove cut just behind the lip for securing the skin and about 3 inches of brass chain hanging off the tail. I'll rush through one tonight and post a pic tomorrow.
-Dave
To pre-order, just PM me

I mistakenly added eyes to 10 of the eelskin plugs. Would anyone prefer to have eyes on theirs? just post here if you want eyes until the 10 are gone.
Thanks

Hi Craig... I wasn't planning on using it here. It's gonna be for the next time I go back east.

It has been brought to my attention that the addition of the chain is something that other builders have been doing for a while now, it was an addtion that I had never seen. I just wanted to make that clear for the innovators who came up with the idea. I don't want to claim the creation as my own.
The plugs are coming along fine
and yes NIB I got your request
