I'm with you, Cap on all points - the most obvious guy to talk to Jess and John Jr would be Pt Jude Joe, I would think - in fact, he and I talked about it the other night.
Low key is good - I guess somehow we have all neglected to mention a fun series of fishing get-togethers - namely, the S-B Four Leg tourneys. I've been able to go to a few and I would think that's not a bad model.
I've been threatening to fish the SoCo MS tournament so long no one takes me seriously anymore - and I understand it's a great event from the reports I hear.
Since there are no vehicles, boats, or vacation homes involved, I don't see this going the way of some of the big name contests. And if that sort of thing is your idea of a good time, believe me, this get-together is not for you
Over the coming winter we'll have plenty of time to plan the '09 event - and it'll keep us
all out of mischief for a while when the shack nasties try to sneak in
