Oh, the Silver Platters. I forgot all about them. So much promise. I heard they broke up because three of the band members were having an affair and it didn't sit well with the other three. I also heard that their manager, some guy named Oliver was swindling them out of all their money.

Heck, there aren't many today that are nothing BUT "one-hit wonders", though they seem more like "no hit wonders".
Of course when you saturate the market with one particular genre of music (rap and currently the "Disney graduating class") you get too much sh*te and not enough shine-ola.
Unless you can produce (or in current conditions RE-produce) more than one hit album, you're just a flash-in-the-pan.
Do you think that given enough time and so-called talent, that the rap industry will eventually run out of catchy rap-artist names?
No, they are NOT singers. Hell, I could recite the ingredients off of a box of Cheerios and call it rap.

Looking Glass with their one and only hit "Brandi". Great song; horrible band.

Ooops, had that one backwards. So who was it that did "(I'm Your) Venus"? The goddess on the mountaintop that was burning like a silver flame

These guys were awesome too. I stole this album from my uncle's collection when I was a kid

another good tune, very Duane sounding guitar work here. John Cipollina.

Another great one
