Any tops on cutting a guide off?

tape on the guides, check and adjust
put on reel, check and adjust
wrap guides, check and adjust
check 10 more times and put on first coat of epoxy, and .....
first guides out of line

Just a little but its coming off. Any tips on carving the epoxy? Slit along guide foot and twist? Does the expoxy "peel", or do I have to scrape it?

shave it off with a razor, thread an all, just go slowww as not to slip. it'll come off with no problem just takes alittle time to do.

BOAT fish do count.

I slit the thread at the groove and peel off (I just cut one thread and unwrap opposite how I wrapped).. If the epoxy is new , it peels right off with the thread. Its also a good reason to use underwraps as they peel right off too. Using this method is slower but eliminates any chance of nicking the blank with the blade.
