Avatar, no, seriously, really....

Saw it this weekend. Holy crap, one of the best films I have seen in ages. Great story, great visuals, one of those films you keep thinking about afterwards.

the characters, the message the movie provides for our world, how the alien girl was kind of hot, etc.

We are all likely the same once you go under that blue skin......except that Na'vi are about 8ft tall.

Won't be long before Avatar breaks Titanic's $$ record!

Finally went to see it today. I thought the special effects were out of this world and the 3d was great. The story was good, but not anything that hasn't been done in other movies. And by that I mean the love story, the humans as bad guys, respect nature, etc... That being said, I'll probably see it again to pick up on little things I may have missed.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

Hehehe, yeh, despite the evil bad guys, yada yada... I had to explain to my son that some things are just "stories" and not to get wrapped up in the political underlying mantra and digs. The visual effects were great.

Not yet! Whether you watch on a 3D TV or not, the Avatar DVD is not 3D.

Did watch one movie (Final Destination 3D) on my DLP TV in 3D (blue/red glasses) and found the experience interesting.....

No prob - glad you were able to find the right settings. I need to go an tweak more settings for mine - when I have the time. Even with the settings I'm running in movie mode now I have seen no TV more crisp, clear, and with a proper balance of colors as mine ('course I haven't seen a tuned LED one yet and I'm not going to for a while).

Visual

The movie was all visual candy to me and it was impressive. The story, well as someone else said its all been done before; humans bad blah blah blah...Just my 2 cents.
