porters
Favorite porters? Joining ipa as my cofavorite lately. Had the stone smoked porter recently and it was very very good. Also beerworks India pale porter. Fullers London porter is a solid to very good standard. Working my way through some different ones and looking for opinions. Founders and dark horse reserve are supposed to be great but I've never seen them. Probably will go anchor next.

Brown's Whiskey Porter (on tap in beautiful downtown Troy NY), but a bunch of other Bourbon barreled Porters are just fine by me too.

Beautiful downtown Troy?? That's an oxymoron . It's more like a lite version of the Bronx.

When you are at Brown's, Troy is beautiful. A shadow of it's once regal self at most other times.

Good call. Was working near the brewery last week. Had some there and got a six pack. Never been impressed with wachusett but the porter is good. Imperial ipa pretty good too. Rest of there offerings aren't for me. There ryder is terrible imo.

they have fullers, and a really good beer selection in general, at lincoln liquors in treble cove plaza if your up that way.
i was disappointed by the sam smith also. had it on tap at bbc and didn't care for it at all, really did not even want to finish it.

Correction. Drinking the Firestone now and it's not an imperial. It is really good though, a great mouth feel, viscous but not overly so. A lot of chocolate.
