smelt fishing in Maine

Hit the hard water again last night with Mafia,Jonesrfish and my son,it was a slow night and i think we caught more tommy cod than smelt,Joneser hooked up with the first feesh, and caught a huge corker i had one tandem hook up and the first tommy cod, which took drag,my son caught his first tommy cod and smelt...he caught the most feeesh and it's safe to say he's hooked!
None of this would of been possible without Jay dropping the secret smelt weapon on them..

The guys kept me and my son in stitches the whole night, we where lafao!
All in all we did 400 miles six hours of laughing and the fish were just an added bonus.

Thanks.
I'll post pics later.

Didn't you have a pic of the Tommy cod on Friday night? Looks like a great time. Should I even ask who was using the pink setup?

It was fun I'm glad we went. I wonder if the tommy cod were keeping the smelt away? We didn't get any last year. And the guys who were leaving said smelting was great up until that day. I'm surprised we didn't get an eviction notice! Also glad I didn't hand plant on that heater, I decided last second not to use it to catch my balance! That would have sucked. Got a good ab workout with all the laughs

How were the sauces? I like the onion better. But both are killah! A must on fish and chips

We did I asked him how much longer he'll keep the camps out and he said not much more because it's gonna be in the 40's all week.

Fyi if you can make it up better have a 4x4, I drove
through at least 12-14" of pure mud getting to the office.
Lol I pretty much turfed it up!
