Lots of old rods that need a guide or two replaced.

Oh you guys are sick! I have to show my girl this thread because she thinks I'm nuts for having 5 sticks. I try to explain that you can't play golf with only one club, but she doesn't get it..

I need more.

I'll finally chirp in here,

I own 5 sticks:

Loomis 7' med fast 1 pc - Penn 360

Star rod 8' bomb proof model - back up

Loomis 8'6" Fast- med - Penn 460

St Croix 9' - Sci Anglers

Loomis 9'6" - Penn 560

They are the team. It is great having alike reels and rods that fell so similar. Some of the reel parts are interchangeable.

I am a spin and Fly guy. No boat yet so no boat rods.

Kind of a bargain so far...........

At least 12 if I count my ice fishing rod. I actually use 5. Some are guest rods, for new comers and neices and nephews.

Well, since some arsehole increased their rod collection by thiefin' from mine earlier this year, I am down to 2 surf rods - 1 for fishing and 1 for backup. People that don't own their own rods already aren't warped enough to fish with me so I don't have to worry about loaner rods for guests. Now that I have the ability to store and transport one piece rods, time to probably have 2 new 1 piece Lami's built this winter......after I put the ring on the woman's finger. If I come home and have 600 beans worth of new rods and she has no rock, I will probably end up with more money and time to spend on fishing......

I don't feel so bad now.

4 surf (11', 10', 8' spinners, 9' conv)

4 light surf/boat (7 1/2' conv)

3 light tackle boat (7'-7 1/2 spin)

1 7' glass rod I got from my grandfather... he used it for wreck/reef fishing in FL... guess it would be ok for live bait or cod jigging

1 8wt flyrod

5 freshwater rods of various sizes

2 5wt flyrods for trout

and a handful of beat up, broken down rods salt/fresh that just need thrown away that continue to sit against the garage wall.

oh yeah, a 3pc. med action travel rod

I use 3 of them about 90% of the time and yes, I want more and Santa should be bringin' a 7' oceanmaster w/ shimano baitrunner at minimum... he's a good guy.
