OK, get this. This same spineless teacher that suspended the friend of my son has given my son Danny 2 days of detention because during lunch I guess there is supposed to be a time period where there is supposed to be no talking and another kid teased my son by taking his reading book from him and started reading it, the kid was across the table and wouldn't give it back so Danny yelled at him to give it back to him. This teacher comes over to him and asks what is going on and Dan tells him, and the teacher(who I found out is really not a teacher, just an assistant headmaster or something) tells dan that he will catch up to him later.
Ok fine, well later Dan gets a note telling him he has 2 days of AD(detention). The miserable bastage doesn't even have the common sense enough to tell my son right then and there that he will be punished, he has to find out later.
Dan gets his share of being picked on for many reasons, and he is a good kid and is not mean to other kids. He goes thru alot and I try to get him to stand up for himself but it is getting him in trouble. I guess schools just take the easy way out and punish who they want to. I say it's getting rediculous and this guy is gonna hear it from me. I didn't know I sent my kid to military school
I am going to the school in the morning to find out what the hell is going on in this school.
If Dan did nothing the kid would continue to pick on him , and if he went and told a teacher, the kids would then make fun of him for tattling. Ya can't win I guess. This guy is gonna hear grumpage tom, morning like he's never heard

Hey Slipknot....
"I didn't know I sent my kid to military school"
It seems more like a prison, with the lack of real interaction between students and teachers. It's all part of a bigger problem.
The school system is being handcuffed by the state budget, so funding for schools and teacher's salaries are being cut to the bone. Fewer teachers are sticking around (remember that wonderful "teaching bonus" they offered a few years ago?) so that you have more students per teacher than they should have to handle. On top of this, they try to subsidize the lack of teachers with inexperienced interns (aka assistant principals).
I would definitely state my opinion about the detention, but be careful, for this same "professional" could label you a "problem" parent. It definitely sounds like a case of punishing the victim for being a victim.
If this escalates into a larger problem regarding their disciplinary methods, you could always complain to the principal, or even higher. Hopefully things will work out, but just remind the child that they shouldn't back down if their rights are being violated.
It may not be the easiest route, but it will go a long way in developing their self esteem knowing they stood up for what was right.
Good luck.

Massachusetts not a PRO GUN state that has to be the understatement of the century---couple of years ago guns got stollen from my house so I called police who show up and charge me with posesion of firearms cause my FID card that was Issued for Life in the 70*s was no longer valid. 4 grand later in lawyers feesI still dont understand whos life it was issued for.Now to get new one you have to go to safety couse.HELLO no one got shot in first 30 years but now have locking closet----like that would stop somebody that wanted to get to them????Kid supsended for having pic in catalog of gun you have got to be SH%^&*$#G me what did they think he was going to hit someone with catalog?I used to work with a guy whoes father was a high school principal and he had a couple of hundred knives in a collection that he had confiscated from student. As a sporting goods catalog what is thier reasoning. He cant buy them through catalog. If you want to buy illeagel one you sure arent going to need catalog to pick it out. This is unbelievable. What do they want to do burn him at the stake.

I use my cabelas card points to buy fireline every year, last year I had enough to get hipboots as well.
BTW, the incedent with my son recently may have been justified but I still don't like the way this teacher goes about his business. It seems , so he says, that he has warned my son several times to quiet down during the qiet period at the end of luch when they make announcements, anyway, he is on thin ice and better not get any more detentions.

That's what my father told me when I was 15 and got my first shotgun. That was a long time ago, unfortunatly that gun is gone, but others have come and gone over the years. I don't hunt any more, my choice, but never interfere with anyone that does. With all the changes in the law lately, I do have some concern about having the 'ol 12 guage tucked away. I'v stayed up nights watching, but have never yet seen it sneak out on it's own and shoot anything . I guess that leads to, It's the people misusing the guns, not the guns that cause all the problems.
