27 pounds from me but it doesnt count because it is from a boat.

Shore is 19 pounds, on a popper.

17 lbs on 10 # test with a pogie Storm Shad - but with the full moon and a W-SW wind tonite, I'm gonna work on upping my tally at my favorite spot with Uncle Zeke and a dozen snakes. THe macks and squid have blown town.

I also got a trip on my friend's boat slated for this week, but it doesn't matter what I get by cheating that way

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

The pics aren't showing, and the second link says "forbidden".

Maybe PM me a pic? Saw you post, but never got to see the fish.

18 inches is my biggest yet. I haven't been out more than 4 times and haven't been to the canal once yet. I hope that changes this weekend.
