Hope he does well Chris. He will probably feel better than he has in a long time when he recovers.

Thoughts and prayers for you , you're brother and the rest of the family. He'll do well and be back casting in time for the spring blitz, that type of operation has come a long way in a short time, it's actually pretty common now-a-days. All the best to him!

Thoughts
Thoughts will be with him. Had a quadruple in 1998. Waited 3 months for it. Went in on Thursday afternoon and they kicked me out of hospital on Sunday.
Tell your brother to cought hard (prevent pneumonia) and do the physical therapy with breathing as much as he can. Little pain at first but ignore it and concentrate on doing what the therapy people say. He'll be out in a few days and back home.
Tell the truth, mine was done ' off machine ' that means no breathing help or blood re-route. Guess I was pretty strong. They just cut in, took out the heart and fixed the 4 veins and put the heart back in. Glad they didn't let me watch.

A quad at 47? Wow that sucks. I'll talkin' to the big Guy for him, hope he comes out just fine. And take care of yourself while we are at it!

Chris:
Don't worry too much. It's routine surgery. I can say that because I had a quad bypass May of 2003 and I am 10 years older than your brother. He will have a lot of pain for the first 6 weeks then he will feel and be able to act like a new man. I will say a prayer none the less.

Just saw this Chris, hope everything went well and your brother is on the fast track to a quick recovery. Prayers have been sent express to the boss himself.

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
Peace and Health to brothers everywhere - especially yours at this time Chris -
