The two spinning setups will be custome rods. Does anyone know if the builders will have time to get the specific information for the rods? Will they be too busy to help me out?

In addition to attending a few of the seminars, I'll be looking to purchase some gami circle hooks, jigs (spro & canal specials) and some fly teasers.

I am hoping to see the new Okuma VS reel at the show, to be avail in April they told me. Supposed to have an elliptical gear which eliminates the hesitation at the top and bottom of retrieve rotation. Hell, I didn't know about the hesitation. (Wonder how they came up with VS as the name for the new reel?????

How's the capacity on your 5000?
and is yours a new one? the new ones say the weight is 20 oz. compared to 29

I will be looking for a Shimano Stella in perhaps the 8000FA model. Hoping of a “show special” price. If I have any $ left after that, then a good pair of pliers and a new pair of Polarized sun glasses. Also will be looking at those Point Jude tins.
Most of all I will be looking forward to meeting some of the members of this board. In my past months of lurking I have learned a lot. Look for a short ol’ guy with a white beard wearing a Westport Fisherman’s hat with a 1964 Mass Bass pin. Yes, I will be re-joining after all these years.

spend your money on something else at the show. Shimano does not allow that reel to be sold below a minimum retail price. You can get it for the same price any time of the year.
