myalin is ONLY produced by the body during rem sleep.
-too short ..or no rem sleep =no myalin replenishment happening!
FACT: it typically takes you four hours to enter into rem sleep

endorphins are released by physical exercise and or sex
but if your hurt theres no way you'll be outside exercising
although walking briskly can acomplish this as well

you can get endorphin release by jogging too....
it's well know that joggers get addicted to it the same as
a heroin addict gets addicted to heroin....

this is what bassmaster can do on his OWN for himself

Doctors generally hand you a presciption that only
will mask the pain and not effect a cure...

usually ...all they are is a revolving door unless your
schedualed to have e-stimulation ,ultra sound ,therapeutic massage ,
jacuzzi's (hydrotherapy) or some type of physical therapy...

i've had back pain all my life and that's why i know
about all this stuff.....i mentioned it because knowledge is power
and i want him to get well... and i shared my knowledge

i haven't a clue what injury he has.....except for a hurt back
pain is pain...
vitamin E is necessary for all muscle health

reducing what i said to a pure sexual comment was not
my intention....nor should it be yours
its just another way to release endorphins..pleasantly
without resorting to any physically strenuous exercise
endorphins give you a sense of well being.

doctors wont spend the time telling you this stuff.
they're in it for the money for most part.

i only wish for bassmaster to recover more quickly
and maybe "one or all " of these natural remedies
will aid him in that quest and/ or cheer him up.

i just spent more time writing and explaining this science
than a doctor would have spent with him at no charge...
my motivation was purely out of friendship
i've not yet had the pleasure of meeting dave yet.
your the man U need to Ho me also
im tired as crap today man

to help dave towards a speedier recovery.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today: i was again diagnosed with very high blood pressure measured today @ 190 over 120 which is the dead zone...I am ripe for a heart attack bigtime and so i was put on
toprol -xL or else i was gonna croak....plus i had to get some more muscle relaxers because i have this knotted muscle in my shoulder /back area that grips me like a gorilla with pain off the freakin scale from my neck down to my hand....
on a scale of 1- 10 i'm at 11....i went to bed last night after sharing some things i know, then had to get back up do that nasty hot topical ointment routine -- wait ....then grab a hot shower to wash it off so i could go back to bed ,and not fumigate the wifey in bed.

a little Raven history........
for awhile there ...about 2 years ago...
every time i lifted my fishing rod to feel my lure or bait....and maybe move it a pinch...or try to feel for a fish,,,,my right arm would instantly go numb and it would burn like in my veins...my pinky finger and the next one to it would be so numb i couldn't even tell they were there. That is the worst thing i could imagine....too .... to not be able to fish... way to excruciating...i've had dozens of physical therapy appointments to correct this crap a few years ago and now it has "returned with a vengence." so it sucks to be ME....not meaning to elicit sympathy...((i'm watching a wild turkey outside my window as i type this ...)) if these new friggan pills don't work its back to new england rehab again for more therapy........

....i'm considered a miracle person there because i can walk again after exploding my ankle with over
2000 pounds of force. That took 2 years of therapy 3 days a week.

i used to climb mountains for fun,,,..i used to take off my shoes and run silently up mountains like an Indian and one day in california at daybreak i encountered 100 + deer ...they are so minature (bambi size) compared to a new england white tail ...so they can hide better in the chapparel (manzanita bushes) ...seeing them i instantly sat down against a tree to watch ....seeing at the time... maybe a dozen....then as i sat motionless...the woods came alive...
...they were virtually everywhere yet so camoflaged it was like they were cloaked in STAR TREK ..... INcredible...an experience of a LIFETIME.

back here on the east coast.....
i used to have to go to home depot every damn day to shop for my customers...now after a trip there...i almost have to crawl from my car into the house... my neighbor saw this one day and almost called 911

i'm slowly getting better...but its a huge endeavor and i have to really work at it ....so i have to know and learn every trick in the book....

yesterday.............evening
i'm still so stubborn being Scottish -> that i still do dumb stuff like trying to carry a whole friggan tree back to the house because i can't afford to buy a freakin cord of wood right now... good thing i'm surrounded by woods and lotsa dead snags... the snow is way to deep (10 inches) already to use my dump cart and the old tiller to tow it...
....then... the freakin pull rope on the chain saw pulled out and wouldn't retract....i was like WTF and with size 13 wide feet -big like yers...i couldnt fit my darn snow boot into the handle of the chain saw to yank it and had to clamp the chain saw between my legs in my crotch... and do mini pulls... thats a hairy way to start a chain saw i'll can tell yah

: The getting laid part often fosters enhanced, deeper - so there is a double whammy

Talking Bassmaster can be a little odd Raven

At the M.S.B.A.'s first plug night thier was a raffle that was part of the festivities. Bassmaster has just finished giving his lecture on how he makes his fine pluggage when the raffle started. The first prize was an enormous assortment of plugs. The second prize was a pencil popper turned by bigfish and painted by fishingfreak in a flag motif. Third was I don't remember. They called third prize first and then second prize. I won second prize the beautifully done flag painted pencil popper, which I hold dear to my heart. When I was walking to the podium area to get the plug Manzi put his arm around me and hit on me. I felt violated. He would have done just about anything to get that plug from me. But I didn't "give it up" to him. I retained my dignity, barely. After all, in front of all those people..........

Really the talk Dave gave and the tremendous amount of info he imparted was great and we were lucky to have him there.

Raven, i may have missed your explanation, but exactly how did you come by your ill health and all the injuries?

Bassmaster can be a little odd Raven

yeah well everyone is a little Odd when ya come right down to it...
either that or your not perceptive enough to recognize it....
anyone that isn't i instantly consider suspicious....

as i like to say.... everyone is a little bit crazy...

if they don'y have much money they're a lunatic

if they have allot of money they are deemed to be

....... ecentric
my injuries...i should write a freakin book... two are memorable.
i had a wipe out in california on a windey road one day after work heading home...it was one of those super windey (wine dee) SP?
snake roads called highway 94....everyone had bumper stickers that said: pray for me ...i drive on 94.
this guy on a lay down jap bike comes zig zaging through at 90 mph
i swerved ...got into the sand doing maybe 55 or 60 mph next thing i knew....i was side ways in a vw bug still doing 55 0r 60 mph.
thats when you suddenly realize that you are no longer the driver
and are indeed just the pasenger. TIME instantly slows down like your seeing it in strobe light mode from a distance like you've already left your body and are watching yourself have an accident
in slow motion. the car rolls like ten times then girates in a twist spiral flip end over end....shooting me out a side rear window.

i found myself sailing thru the air pitched like super man looking down on the tree tops (thinking with a concussion mind you)
how the hell did i get here.....??? have i fallen from the sky from an airplane dazed and confused...i see the ground coming up rather quickly ...so i ...went into wrestling mode and thought most rapidly ->tuck and roll ....tuck and roll....TUCK AND ROLL!
and got into cannonball posture for impact with asphalt ...captain...
shields up... wham....i hit and now i'm rolling down the high way like a ball... this family is heading right for me ,screech to a hault and jump out...with their kid yelling excitedly (and i'll never forget this)

"WE thought you were a tumble weed...we thought you were a tumble weed...." i was all lacerated with glass everwhere with pieces of it stuck in me and bruised and battered pretty bad... i drag myself up and try to get my tool box with no shoes on as they flew off... i'm delerious, disorientated, and bloody

next this guys helping me into his truck saying i'll take you home...
just get in...30 mins, later he brings me up to my front door and knocks....
my wife opens the door ...and this is when it really began to hurt...
ENDORPHIN RELEASE spared me the pain until that very moment
my WIFE, she takes one look at me...and just PUKES out of horror....
but soon she calls the ambulance....crying...it was a disaster....

that was just one of dozens of Adventures you could say...
that i've had....

the latest was...in 1995....i'm installing radon systems in houses....and this ones going in a garage... im 20 feet
up on a ladder opening a second floor hay door hatch for access
and its painted shut...a little bit...ok....so i dig my finger nails and give it the kung fu pop open trick....it opens...fine....but right behind it is the biggest fricken paper wasp nests i've ever seen or ever will see....and not only that...its completely covered with hornets 2 inches thick on the OUTSIDE of it.... for a moment i wasnt sweating it as they were staying Put.. by unfortunately the hatch door was still swinging....it ka-bams the wall and all 25,000 hornets get shook loose right in my face from 2 feet away....next your heart rate quadruples and a rush of adrenalin shoots into your heart.making you leap without even thinking about it rationally....i landed on one heel of my right foot..i can only describe it as like taking a two by four and with all your might slam ramming it into a huge rock and SOUNDING it .... you know..ringing it....making it hit so hard and making a "tone sound"... thats how hard i hit....i look up from the driveway
and theres enough hornets buzzing around to fill a whole auditorium...so i leaped up and hopped away before i was stung to death....and got operated on that afternoon and got screwed back together with 1 1/2 inch screws. arthritus sets in to an injury like that....and its not good....in fact on my doctor's paper work it specifically describes me as DOOMED....ten years later i've arrived at that stage and now understand why he origionally wrote that.

Hey Ravin been there done that! When you reach my age all the damaged parts compress and the pains increase. Only thing that will help is fishing season. Take care of what you have left and hope for the best!

Question what age is that

i want to know how many years i have left before i compress.

yesterday i was told by my doctor that i have to give up coffee
all together..... ...so its gonna be a rough week...

i know i'm not the only S-B member who's seen some destruction to the ole body.... i've just had a long history of it....and it's why some consider me to be in the "internet fisherman" group....but i'm presently
working to change all that......

I'm hoping to avoid surgery but my laundry list came out two weeks ago:

smile dave.....

if you have an art request of something wacky let me know...

as it'll be 90 days or so before i start Art School.... No i havent yet got the go ahead....but being clairvoyant has it's advantages and i already "know" i'm going..... it took just one handshake and i saw...or felt my future....DE JA VU rush BIGTIME. kinda like that show on TV where the guy makes contact and then has wicked flash backs....for me..i have flash forwards....i saw the house i'm living in now...the number on it just as clear as can be.... close to 7 years before seeing it in real life, for example....and when i drove up the driveway for the first time.....the DE JA VU was so intense i almost had to puke.

John i am sorry to hear that you have to have surgeries....we all will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.....

John--are they doing the surgery with a scope? I had the open type many years ago and now am paying dearly for the mess left behind. Arthritus is a bitch with stenosis thrown in. I wish you luck! do it now and be back fishing the spring run!
