XRA 1204 This is truly a do-all rod.Throws bombers, eels, pencils, jigs. It would be a stretch to turn large around rocks but for 98% of your fishing ...

I love my rogue but it's tough to eel with because it's so fast.Best big wood stick going IMO one flick and it flies.

All Star 1088 lightweight, can throw the selected range all day and then some. I'm used to fishing with meatsticks and it took me a bit to gain the conf. in this rod but its got the nuts to do the job.

Domination takes full concentration..

GSB 132 1M with VS 250. Can throw bombers right up to the biggest plug in my bag. Good with bucktails and pencils. Throw chunks and some lead. Plus it's got the backbone needed to pull a fish out of the strongest current. Long and stiff enough to steer fish around boulders at the base of jetty.

There is almost nothing I can not do with this combo.

If I had to have only one rod,I would first want a 10' rod so I can fish the big water when need be,I would also want something that is vesatile could throw 1 to 3.5 and strong yet soft, something that could throw eels and plugs well. There are a few rods that could fit the bill,I like the gsb 1201 ether light or med.would do fine as well as the loomis.

Production or custom?

Thanks Fishaholic

Is this a Lamiglass product? RA or Surf and Jetty model ?.....or buy a blank and get it custom made?

Sounds like I might need one as it is the most recommended here.

I only used one rod last season, and it's a Tica 9 footer. With budget constraints and all, I've had to deal with an off reel seat and a jiggly eye, but it's still caught me some nice fish.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.

Lamiglas blank. Same blank series that their Surf&Jetty medium rods are built on.

"Graphite Surf&Bar" (GSB)-blank

"Surf&Jetty" (XS)--factory rod.
