Are you saying that only broadcasted stuff should be penalized? That wouldn't be fair at all. If they are going to penalize then they should listen to all radio communication for all teams and go that route. Why should a particular team get ruled against just because their stuff was broadcast and another team may have said the same things but not penalize because it didnt get broadcast. Thats not fair...???
Jenn what Nascar needs to do is define this rule clearly and explain it to all.As it stands now the rule allows fuzzy decision making which in turn can allow decisions favorable to one team and not so favorable to others. The consequences also need to be defined, one team gets fined buy another gets fined and loses points.

That can be said about every rule NASCAR has. Way too much room for interpretation. Anybody see Robby Gordon's comments on that on Wind Tunnel this week. And speaking of wind tunnel, did any else hear Biffle's mom call in the week before and complain that they weren't talking enough about greg.

Basswipe I agree there should be more cut and dry terms to the rules. Maybe I misunderstood your comment about being penalized if its broadcast? I think if they make the rule about swearing it should be ALL swearing on ALL team communication. For instance why should say the #88 team be penalized because crew cheif swore at driver and then network chose to play the #88 chatter when the #12 crew cheif also swore during the race but wasnt penalized because it wasnt broadcast on t.v?? its the same difference.

Personally I think to penalize for that is rediculous anyway! This is racing afterall!!! tempers flare and someone is gonna swear! If the network cant preview and edit the clip beforer they play it then maybe they shouldnt be airing the race at all D#$$@it!

Simplify.......
