One from Nauset in 1982. This is my brother at 11 years old. I'm in the back casting. This was at the end of long bar where it emptied into deeper water. Its early October, you can see the white water in the back breaking on the bars. We were catching fish on 7" rebels mid day all afternoon. Second pic is from Nauset inlet in July 1995. Fish up to 42# on eels drifted with the outgoing tide.

Standing on the water, casting your bread
While the eyes of the idol with the iron head are glowing
Distant ships sailing into the mist
You were born with a snake in both of your fists while a hurricane was blowing

What a beautiful collection of photos I just saw! You all have to admit, that we are upon an era of big fish that we all thought was over and done with long ago.
Do we all really have to rally for the protection of the species or is it a reciprocal 30 year event that Stripers do so well and then Blues take over the food chain and so on and so on?
I was 12 years old when the blues came in to Narragansett Bay in numbers that where never seen before or again. The whole bay was boiling! Blues hitting the bottom of the boat woke us to see a blitz like nothing before, you where afraid to get to close to the gunwale.
Anyway, God catch guys!
JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

What a hum dinger fish! I noticed you have no spiked soles on top of those slippery rocks. How do you do it?

Thanks, felt soles are fine for the canal unless you're on rockweed, in that case you may as well sit down and slide on that crap till you get under it.
