agnostic?
I have Z-E-R-O problem with people practicing a religion (I'm agnostic) but
An agnostic is just an athhiest with NO GUTS!
Not a personal attack.... I have agnostic tendencies myself, but I love that saying.

Yes BinLaden is a bad guy, so much so that he not Saddam is the one person that GW should have focused our entire resources on militarily and otherwise but, at the same time, Bin Laden is not our society's only problem and in this case we are addressing the issue of Mr. Falwell, who single handedly and through non-violent means but with the hate rethoric included, has ripped this country away from it's core values of it's founding fathers that being seperation of church and state and who, like Bi Laden, had as his dream, the creation of a fundamentalist religion-based goverment.
The means and methods were different but the desired end result was the same. Repression and fear.
The world has many problems not just Bin Laden, Falwell, religion or secterian problems and misguided souls such as Mr. Falwell are just one of many facets of the threat against us.
Look harder and you will see the whole picture.

Neither is OBL, his followers did it for him, JUST LIKE FALWELLS LITTLE SHEEP.

No dude, I live in reality where OBL didn't fly a plane but a bunch of people he convinced to do so did. Where brainless morons in this country take what Falwell says as "the word of god" and mindlessly follow.
And yanno, if I had a choice of being blown up by a suicide bomber, or having a bunch of redneck fools who think im gay beat me and drag me with chains behind their pickup truck, I'll take the suicide bomber. Thanks.

I am sure, being what we are, there would be fights over something. Look at this site as a microcausm of our world today and the sh!t we get into fights about. Without religion though there would probably be stabler times for the world in general but then again there are some in the world of religion that are actually good influences on the sphere as a whole, not many, but a few.
Still, religion has no place in goverment other than for a silent prayer when action is demanded, and action has been taken for the desired result.

I have two in-laws who live in Ca. that are participants in this type of religon. One has a grad degree in business from a prestigious school and the other is a nurse mid-wife praticioner. Thier pastor told them that life on earth began appropximately six to eight thousand years ago. And they believe that. I had a show on a few years ago aboutsliver-backed apes and my brother-in-law turned the tv off and forbid me to watch that type of show. He said it is insulting that certain so-called scientists say we evolved from an ape possibly.
I love my in-laws dearly but I'll never stay at thier house again.

Swimmer:
that was exactly my point: they take things on blind 'faith' that things are what the bible/pastor say they are...
