not that its a big deal....just curious......I saw your pic and thought of my hubbies...(I know hard to tell from a pic ) but it just looked like your fish had such a gut! and with it being longer I figured it had to be more than his! and when I read different it had me wondering if you were being modest my scale was off or if it was merely the difference in the way these fish "carried" the weight......
...but anyway.....all respectable fish that I wouldnt mind having on the end of my line!!!! (someday...... ) congrads!
and hey....this fisherwoman wont lie.....she caught schoolies and blues all weekend!!! LOL boy THAT really sucked!!!

...we patiently awaited our prey....
....we got a few bumps...taps....runs, but nothing more...it was a depressingly slow night. We also had a rod out chunking but no fish to show for it. I had not noticed how impatient Goose was growing and the constant Coyote howling in the distance but it was adding to his rage. He was constantly yelling aloud into the darkness with this hideous look on his face. He would disappear at times into the darkness and come stomping back with this determined but emotionless look on his face. I was starting to get worried. I haven't known Goose for all that long and was starting to see a different side to him. As the night grew longer, his temper seemed to flare up and he was disappearing more often...coming back mumbling to himself. I would try talking to him but it seemed useless, it was like I wasn't even there... Well the last time he walked into the darkness, he never came back!!! Some time later, I heard a scream...I headed into the darkness in search of Goose...thinking he may have been injured somehow. The screams grew louder, then some howling...it seemed both sounds were coming from the same place. I thought to myself...
"Goose is being ATTACKED by a COYOTE!!!"

As I approached the end of the trail, I could see Goose...he was kneeling down. I slowly approached him and asked him if he was ok...he looked up at me with this strange grin on his face ...I flashed my headlamp in his direction....and COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES!!!

I've met quite a few fisher(people) in my life, but this Goose takes the cake.
...We start off fishing, and end up in a situation like this...I guess I'll never really know what was going through his head...and what possessed him to do it...I tried talking to him but he just kept looking up at me with a "Mr. Hyde" look on his face. It was a quiet ride home and I'm glad I arrived safely...but I'm still soooo confused!!!

That is F@$#ED up man.
I'll go ahead and nominate this as one of the most outlandish things I've EVER seen on the internet, and I've seen a large collection of stuff that's just wrong. Goose you are one hardcore dude.
However, I am curious about how the actual fight that went down. Did Goose take it on mano y mano, rod butt style, or stab the beast? In any event, I've got to admit that if it was on video I'd probably check it out. Coyote knife fights just don't happen often enough...

...Red,
I wish I could say it was in self-defense
...but he went out of his way to hunt this thing down. Being skunked had provoked him so much that he needed to "kill" something. I for one, will never feel comfortable around him again. I can't believe I spent a weekend on an island with this monster. He offered me a spot in his tent, but thinking he had "ulterior" motives ...I passed on his invitation and found a "safe" spot in the house . I also noticed alot more rabbits running around when we arrived on Cutty compared to when we left
...he's been crank calling me all day, Howling into my phone like a MADMAN!!!
Goose, ....GET SOME HELP!!!

Um, don't look now, but its a FULL MOON
There's an old Swamp Yankee legend about the Coy-Man from the Great Swamp. Years ago, on a full moon in September, seems some kids found the bow, camo jump suit and clothes of a hunter in a tree stand. The next day, a carcass of a half-eaten coyote, with its throat slit ear to ear, was found in a corn field about a mile away. The hunter turned up later that morning, naked and confused, covered in blood, at the Fish and Game station off Liberty Lane. He was from Massachusetts they say.....
