Im on the fence ! I have to see my schedule for Feb at work and talk to the woman and find an all night sitter . This may be tough , all though I could go solo .
Im interested very much and would probably do a desert and/or brownies .

Time for an Update...

I just spoke with RickBomba, and he has decided to help us out tremendously!...

He is going to offer his culinary expertise for the kitchen at the Club!

Rick has requested that I mention to those bringing items, to post up the dishes you plan on bringing, and he also asked me to mention that we will also need plastics for the event - spoons, forks, cups, etc...

So far, many of you have been very responsive toward requests for help & contributions, and I want to thank ALL of the many amazing individuals who have stepped forward!

You know who you are!

Our goal is to raise as much as possible for support of this amazing site, and I would like to ask that all of you who cannot attend the event for the 15th who frequent this site to purchase a ticket anyway, to support the work that goes into bringing all of us together.

Just think about how much you have been blessed by the many experienced fishermen (and women...) for their available wisdom & patience on this site...

How many of you, (like myself) have become consumed by passion for all aspects of this sport?...because of this site!

So many of us have been drawn to this sport beyond the "recreational infatuation" of Striped Bass Fishing!...

For many, the raw passion for Striped Bass Fishing has become a part of who we are!...

Think about the craftsmen who have willingly offered their services FOR FREE to those who want to learn the art of Rod Building, Plug Building, Equipment Maintenance and the many other facets involved with this grand sport...

Simply because they love it so much, and want to share the experience of their exhilaration with you!

Think about the fact that every person who frequents this site over time becomes a more informed & sophisticated fisherman!

Think about the fact that so many of those who frequent this site truly care about the future of this Sport!!!

Have you not gained a tremendous amount of respect for the future population of Striped Bass?

Have you not gained a tremendous amount of respect for taking care of the dwindling areas where we fish because of those who take all of these things for granted?...

It really does not matter where you come from, or whether or not you live in this area!

If these very things hold any significance to you whatsoever, PLEASE support the event for the 15th.

As so many of you out there can testify that it's not just the availability of this site that makes it so great.

It's the quality of individuals like yourself who make this such a tremendous success!...

Now, we need an update for those who are willing to purchase a ticket & bring a dish... or tableware.

If you have not yet made a commitment to support this site yet, Would you make the commitment of purchasing a ticket now?...

Even if you do not plan on attending the gathering, your ticket will go toward supporting Striped-Bass.com, and will qualify you for the door prizes being offered on the 15th...

Either way... you win!

So, who else is on board?...

By the way,...

Do you know of any good "how to" resources for plug building?...

I'm determined to get proficient on the basics for plugs by the end of winter!

I'm almost positive that I'll be going...I also think that I'll have four to join me...
I've got to think about what to bring as far as food goes; I'd like to do something special, as you guys have been great to me.
I don't know; I make a killer grilled meatloaf...but nobody likes meatloaf. Maybe some kind of chicken breast thing (I used to do this crab stuffed chicken that everybody loved!?)
I'm also on a grilled pork tenderloin kick that people seem to like?
Crab cakes... come on guys, give me some input.
Later,
Rick

mrmacey,
Let me get a count first...30# tips will give you like 4 oz for 150 people...Buffet style like this, it's hard to judge...
I'd love to cook them down there, but I need to talk to the Don tomorrow to see what the kitchen has in the way of euipment. I have to go down to Bucko's next week, maybe me and Don can hook up and I can take stock of what's down there.
Later,
Rick
