Awesome thread, Larry! Great pics from everyone! And CONGRATS to RIROCKHOUND!
Here's the only picture I can find of my dad, my son and myself. My dad has been my fishing partner my whole life and I don't have any pictures of us fishing. I'll be sure to get the camera out with us this year for sure.
The second pic is from 1973 on West Island with my uncle, who I still fish with a lot. This is one of my favorites.
The last one is one I posted here a few weeks back of my son and myself from this year. We're looking forward to our annual Father's Day fishing trip on Sunday (weather permitting).

Dad, around 1945, during the Second World War. I wasn't around yet to be in the picture with him. Dad, is still around, and not in the best of health today. But I have fond memories, as a child, just being with dad.
Times I'll always remember.

Here's one of my Dad and my daughter bass fishing in Kansas last summer. We spent a month visiting him there as he has liver cancer and undergoing chemo for about 6 months prior to our visit. He's still on chemo (on again/off again) and probably will for as long as he lives.
Second pic is me, Dad, my son Jonathan and daughter Christine with the bass we caught.
3rd pic is me and my girls after trout fishing.

IF I ONLY COULD BE HALF THE MAN MY FATHER IS . . . .
At the beach with pops, we caught about 50 nice fish that day dragging sand eels. He looks at me and says I'm tired can we just sip a little scotch and smoke a couple of good cigars while the sun sets, best day of my life. . .

Grand dads are Dads! too
i once hooked a kid by his ear lobe and he was crying very loudly
i did not know he was standing behind me watching me fish
i felt so bad for hooking his ear poor ear...on a back cast
that i gave him around 4 bucks in change...allot of coin in those days
and then he was the happiest kid in the world

My Dad catching a nice bass off Brewster. Special because the 1963 Whaler we are in used to belong to my uncle (his Brother) and they fished all the time together.
And my boys fishing at a private pond loaded with bass. We go every year for their birthdays.

3 Generations charter trip: grandfather (inlaw) from Iowa, grandfather (NJ), my son and myself. Couldn't believe it when the big striper hit the pollack they said I could take the line.
You can't relive these moments in time.

This doesn't qualify me for this giveaway I know but on this day I can't help but have a heavy heart remembering the man who first took me fishing. Although it wasn't for monster Bass on the cape, those days on the islands off Wollaston beach soaking sea worms slamming flounder were some of the best days of my life. Those experiences planted the seeds that make me the avid angler I am today. Dad I love you, I miss you, and you will always be #1 in my heart. Rest in peace pops.
