In my mind, since I heard second hand, it isn't prudent. If it is in the paper/news etc.. it is fair game, but for now it is not our place to throw it out there.
AND, I'm not condoning it at all, in RI, if commercial season was open and he had 6, then it could be oversight, but 20 bass in a different state is malicious intent... just don't think we should toss out names second or third hand...
Sandman, I may know the exceptions, but I know some straight arrow commercial fisherman as well, so that is a braod brush to paint with! |

Yep, there's more to the story than meets the eye. My sources tell me things have been blown way out of proportion. Its not for any of us to judge at this point, IMO. |

The draggers off the vinyard have been working hard this year!! The Fluke, and Bass have been real slow, they are getting a lot more then squid!!

I'm not protecting anyone Scott. You know me better than that. I just don't think it's my place to plaster anyone's name in a public forum. I have not seen it published in the paper or in the news at all so, until it is, I will keep the person's name out of here. |

no problem Paul. What I find amusing though is that if it was someone with a stick up their ass about me they'd have no problem trying to bash me online.

You usually deserve it  . Seriously, difference between a pi$$ing contest over something/someone and an accusation of someone breaking the law are entirely different things. If the law is involved something official will probably come along in the paper or some other more formal outlet. What I have heard fourth hand is not sufficient for me to think of yapping a story I have no knowledge of. |

personally I was just curious why someone was being spoken about and why it was a secret. Sounded kind of like the person was being protected for some reason. If it is not come out publicly, by the forces in charge, than I can wait till or if it does.

I don't know if anyone is being protected or not (I'm not) but having heard this rumor way removed from the source I would not want to further rumor, especially as I've heard conflicting stuff. I'm kinda sure the person is not a past or present member here.
There have been other cases that have happened over the years that have been rooted in police reports or on the front page of a newspaper... |

I would not be surprised if you had a copy of almost every thread you've been in a tussle with over the past umpteen years   . For right or wrong, you've been involved in threads removed at a far higher rate than the average bear, BooBoo  .
