This is why I'm so glad I live and fish on Long Island. Surfing is restricted or banned from most county parks. which is also upheld at M as well. And as you can guess most of the South Shore of Long Island is county park or National seashore. Not that there aren't surfers here... it's just easier to get them off the beach.
