I am going to offer up a Rotary fly vise I made for the site again. I will have it at Plugfest again and also at too cold to fish nite which I think the drawing will take place. John R drew his own number last time and won the vise.

The fix was not in, really.

We will probably have tickets available at both venues and maybe if John can do it here thru the site. It will probably be a 5 dollar ticket. If I was to sell it I would ask $300 as it takes me some substantial time on my part doing it in bits and pieces as I try and find the very rare free time I can at work, so be generous guys as it is going to raise money for the site. I used the Renzetti cam lock saltwater jaws which ran me $95, but as I figured it wasn't worth it to me in time to make them and they are a really nice jaw and will hold from a 4 to a 8/0 hook they say. I have never used anything that big yet. I tried to incorporate all the things I could into this vise using all stainless steel and delrin with an aluminum base. I used a bronze bushing to allow the 360 degrees rotation and the arm will swivel angular or straight out. The tension on the arm will be fully adjustable much like the manufacturer of the jaws uses. A great idea and no need to re engineer that well thought out design. I have used the original vise I made, mine is titanium

, for several years now and although I am not a fly tying expert it is a pleasure to use for me at least. So here are a few pics. My vise is on the left. I took the total height down a bit too since first one but everything else is the same . I hope you guys like and will jack up the total to help John in running this great , fun , site. Paul
