Great Catch Strider......Did you by any chance note the stomach contents and was she full of Roe or were her roe sacks empty??? Just curious. We always checked out those big fish and sometimes they would be full of bright green roe and other times red roe. Some were carrying empty roe sacks but others as noted were full. We always were puzzeled as to why a big spawner would be up here in new england carrying ripe roe. The experts say they do not spawn up here. Puzzling!!!!
Again, Congratulations to a fine Fisherman, on catching a Fine Fish!!!!!

She is off to the taxidermist this evening, no details on the contents yet. It did fel like there was something in its stomach, although it was most likely just the ten-pound bass I landed a bit earlier in the tide.

Let me for one tell Rich that's an awesome fish. Secondly Rich as many know he's a great mentor for those he puts under his wing. Thirdly I along with our membership CSA want to congratulate him on a lifetime catch. Our club is very special to have Rich as a dedicated surf fisherman, member and mentor.
