How about some Seatrain and the Fabulous Rhinestones on CD
A couple of favorites growing up in New England.
Some of you music lovers must remember seeing them in concert in the early 70's.

milo--should be in any big record store. Borders, too. It's not a boxed set, so there are two different CDs, First Set (not as good IMO) and Second Set. They're discount priced. I paid $12.99 for each disc.
First Set has such classics as Blue Sky, Melissa, Dreams and Revival.
Second Set really rocks--Sailing 'Cross the Devil's Sea, You Don't Love Me, Soulshine, Back Where It All Began, a nice acoustic Elizabeth Reed, Nobody Left to Run With Anymore, and closes with Jessica.
The 4 survivng original members, plus Warren Haynes on guitar. Recorded at several locations on the 1996 summer tour.

Frampton is one of those tunes that comes on just when you're getting really tired on the way back from fishing, then something like VH Unchained comes on followed, by Ghost in the Machine, Thunder Road, any number of good tunes to keep ya awake. If they don't come on it's time to pull over to a road stop and crash sleep for 20 minutes....
I'm going to need to rip a "driving" CD to keep me awake after fishing

On the way to the beach...anything.
On the beach in the sand sled...George Winston. Kitaro. Yanni.
On the way back home after fishing all night with no sleep and I've got a 4.5 hour drive ahead of me and the eyelids are really heavy and I'm starting to weave thru the rumble strips like a drunkard...I crank it up. AC/DC, Black Sabbath (Ozzy/Ronny James Dio/Ian) , Ozzy, Jimi Hendrix, Dead Kennedys, Led Zeppelin. Driving home after a long fishing weekend with "Dazed and Confused" cranked up is a trip man.

Fishing Blues
Everyone,
This power of music, especially when going or returning from the quest......
I like it all. From the corny ass Rose to the commy ass NPR.
But my absolute, bestest, greatest fishing tune of all is
Taj Mahal's "Fishing Blues". Listen to it. Laugh with it. Sing with it.
I wish I could wire over a copy. I'll work on it.
We fish (and live) in an acoustic enviroment. It is unplugged......... (except for the couple I have at my waist)

My uncle played with Taj in his first band, the Electras.
They played the Yale Bowl before they broke up.
That Taj man likes to fish somethin fierce.
Later,
Rick

Pilsner Urquell, from the Czech Republic. No more expensive than Sam Adams or Heineken.

P.U. tastes like horse piss when compared to "Budvar Czechvar" (Check-Var) - also from the Czeck Republic. Known everywhere but America as "Budwieser Budvar", been brewed since like 600AD or something. Truly the best pils in the world. We would get it delivered in Germany twice per month by the "Juice Truck" (think milkman) with the rest of our beer - Stuttgarter Hofbrau - plus our juice & warm milk... Mike, if I can find it in Rhode Island - not the best state for beer - you gotta be able to find it on LI. This beer is truly on a far higher level the Pilsner Urqell ....

John--one problem with buying beer on LI---you can only buy it in a supermarket or deli. They only tend to stock brands that sell Liquor stores can't sell beer
Maybe I'll try some trendy yup joint.

Music, beer, and fishin
um hooked? Bass --> ALE is quite good although from britain....
but john and the gang try Belhaven Scottish Ale some time.
It really packs a wallup and tastes awsome. As for music i like pink floyd allot and metally cruise to it often and agree with John.
But for crusing long distance without getting sleepy Z Z top rules.
If i start to experience road rage i tune into wcrb for classical music to remind of the more tranquil times of black and white TV.
But for shakin booty "crystal method" gets my motor running as does some chilly peppers...in fact i built a whole lawyers office in miami on one chilli pepper album played round the clock with 18 hour work days.We drank like thirty beers a day to keep up the pace. Stairway to heaven and peter framptons:"Do you feel like i do" always sends me back to california dreamin. The thing is that music triggers memories. CCR especially reminds me of old times.
checkout somafm.com for computer tunes. As for the weather right now as the master JIMMY has said: Lay back and groove on a rainy day..... A Party sounds excellent: rent double decker bus.
