Thanks for a fun weekend of fishing.
Beckster, Raven it was nice to hook up and fish with you two. Carl, nice to see you out at the breech way. Thanks for showing them the way back to Don's you saved me a trip.

It was a fun time there, to bad you did not get a fish Beckster. It's always a next time.

Thanks to Don M. for use of his place. Nice to meet all the rest of you fishing people...

I had an excellent time and I really enjoyed meeting you guys and gals. The food was great and I would like to thank those who cooked for us. Thanks Don for use of the shop and especially the bathroom. I have to publicly thank Dennis for taking me to a bunch of spots but unfortunately the fish did not cooperate.

I enjoyed using the new 1204 that Saltheart built for me. It is sweet and I am dying to catch something worthwhile with it.

John R...

You posted seeing a bunch on top but you could not get em to hit...This weekend during Tri-State we ran into at least 2 separate Worm Hatches...Could this be what you ran into

I'm here!

John, my dad won't be posting, but I'll try to speak for him:

WHAT AN AWESOME TIME!!!!!

Not one fish, terrential downpours, losing jigs, and I had the best time! Went with Saltheart and my dad, caught nothing, but who cared?!

We went to ...the beach... (can't remember any names) and just the sight when we pulled up: Dark beach, surf pounding, rain falling, fisherman lined up along the water. THAT'S the stuff fishing is made of -- wish I'd brought a camera.

Got Stripers, Don, so cool meeting them and talking with them. They were so helpful and I plan to really pick their brains soon for more!

I arrived and felt totally overwhelmed. I didn't know corkers from corkscrews. But spending 20 min. in Don's shop, and I already felt better and like I could really learn and have a good time.

Saltheart is the absolute best, thanks SH! What a great guy. I learned more in one day fishing with him than I've learned so far. (And the Death by Strawberry lived up to its name) I had more fun with the plastic, learning about my new (and NOT for plastics) rod, and just meeting everyone. What a hoot. I will not miss the next one.

Thanks Saltheart, Don, GotStripers, John you were very cool and just as great as I had imagined. Specialist, sorry I didn't have a chance to meet up with you and fish, but I heard you did pretty well anyway (without my expertise, haha).... Maybe another leg?!

What an awesome way to spend a Saturday. Thanks so much to those who talked me into it. I can't say enough good things about you guys, really. My friends are probably tired of hearing about it!!! Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!

Sf it is good to see that you had fun. I bet when you got home you were already making a list of things to get. It is addicting. Hope you make the cape leg.

John maybe you should start a sticky thread for the Cape leg. It is only a couple weeks away.

I had a great time. always good to see evryone. as usual the food was great and way too much of it! That Apple Pie way AWESOME!!!

Thanks for the hospitallity Don. The new shop looks great and the location is excellent. best of luck with it.

Sweetieface , it was my pleasure. You're lots of fun and a real trooper. It was a tough night with the bad weather and no fish but you hung in there. I felt bad for you having that long ride home in the heavy rain. Glad you made it home OK. I went fishing tonight and when i grabbed my jig bag , i noticed it was quite a bit lighter. Woner how that happened.??

Hope to see you at the Mass leg.
