That sounds like a good bet to be the ray that was coming to nibble my toes before I gave him a poke with the rod butt. Thanks, I'll get this thread back on track and share my best from shore this season.

That's from shore. Fishing can be so funny. Usually I'm all geared up wiping out in boulderfields all night, untying eel knots etc. This night the wife wanted to drink wine with her friend so I grabbed some fresh mac and told her to call me when she wanted me to pick her up. Parked at my folks cottage, walked to the beach in bare feet and boom. Best fish of the season. I'll take it!

The BeeReel overflows with scup during the season, some real buttes. The fish is a blue over silver mahi.

There are no shortage of trophy scup on the BeeReel, even Portugal has monuments and songs about it.

first pic, is one of the only stripers i got a pic of this season while wetsuiting

second is my buddy scott at cutty, fish put a 3/0 vmc thru his finger while doing some day time pencil fishing

did a lot of freshwater this year just with limited fishing hours, work, health issues, family issues etc and life in general
