We'll probably find that the 737 was hit by Antiaircraft fire / local Air Defense systems.
They would have been pretty much weapons free last night.
Question two: why is this always happening to Ukrainians and Malaysians?

Glad Trumped killed the son of a bitch. Let the Iranians save a little face. I am sure none of those #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&s will be stirring up the pot in Iraq for a while.

The proxy’s haven’t had their revenge yet and Iran’s attack while our guys are bunkered and with advance notice to Iraq, was just political for the locals; see we retaliated. Now it will be business as usual and the proxy’s will be the ones to watch out for.

A child with a middle school education could make that prediction, which of course probably rules out Trump.

But if the treaty had not been made, none of this would have happened. Of course, if Mohammad had not . . . oh well, the butterfly effect has no actually known beginning.

because iran was a peaceful, productive ally right up until
trump pulled out of the treaty.
Solemaini was either a terrorist, or at best, an enemy combatant. For the third time, susan rice said
on tv that if they had been given their opportunity to kill him easily i’m Iraq, they would
have seriously considered it. it wasn’t a kooky thing trump
did.
i have bad news for you, this is all a yuuge win for trump. other than saying obama’s cash paid
for the missiles they #^&#^&#^&#^& at us, which is stupid. Other than that, it might have been the best week of his presidency.

You have no idea how right you are, I'm hilarious. But I'm not blinded by hate.
Trump killed a guy even you said needed to be taken out, we paid no meaningful price, Trump advocated for "peace through strength", and imposed new economic sanctions. Iran looks incompetent. Trump appeared thoughtful and reflective in not responding militarily to Iran's missile strikes, as many thought he would.
The liberals come off as siding with Iran over Trump. An exaggeration, sure, but not that far off.
You have Chris Murphy and Joe Biden completely contradicting themselves, saying the opposite of what they had said before, because they hate Trump.
And the markets are up.
You're right, Trump really took it on the chin. How shall he recover?

Very naive to assume there was or will be no meaningful price to pay, you have no idea what revenge the proxy’s are planning. I’m also sure the families of the 170+ who lost their lives or those trampled to death will sleep better knowing you are so empathetic over their loss. Please don’t assume I’m siding with Iran, what I’m expressing is frustration that Trump continues to make stupid moves in foreign policy. Several weeks back Iranians were protesting their government, now they have united to protest the US and once again you are just tied to your only real argument, because the market is good life is good.
Meanwhile your guy is getting ready to face probably the first trial he hasn’t been able to buy his way our of, although at times it appears most in the senate are in his pocket. The environment looks to be about to take another hit courtesy of his short sighted policies. Ironic the organization he claimed was a joke he now wants help from to clean up the mess he just created, I’m sure the NATO members are anxious to rush in to help such a trustworthy and loyal member.
Hard to see the forest through those trees isn’t it!

Huh? Can you elaborate?
When Obama had Bin Laden
killed, it was logical to believe that Al Queda would retaliate. I bet you didn’t express that concern. And while Al Queda isn’t Iran, they had
killed more americans than iran. so retaliation was still a concern. But Obama bragged about is ( as he should have), and his disciples loved him for it.
Just a little consistency would
be nice.
But what environmental disaster did Trump single-handedly cause
today?

got stripers, youre right, i don’t know what the proxies are planning. And you don’t know what Soleimani was planning, right? He can’t hurt anyone else.
You yourself said the guy deserved to be killed. susan rice herself said that if the obama administration had the same opportunity, they would
have seriously considered
it.
so if you’re saying that killing this guy wasn’t worth the risk, of course you’re entitled to that opinion. And i can’t prove you wrong.
But most of america, especially most of
america excluding the coasts, agrees with trump.
Trump said clearly that any future violence against americans
by iran’s proxies, will be responded to with brutal force. He showed Iran he means that. will
they listen? who knows. If they don’t, they can probably kiss an oil field good bye.

1) This was not just political. Iran managed to hit specific support buildings at the Al Assad base that would normally be populated. The thing that saved lives was getting people into bunkers and luck.

We are going to need a lot more if it's just luck, because the proxy's haven't had their revenge yet and they are likely to be more apt to serve that dish up cold.
