20 foot waves? On the RI Coast? Other than in the teeth of a hurricane - When? Dood - they got us beat on the full contact fishing. Anyone who needs to pinch one over a cliff donning a homemade-rope harness further tied to the 4x4 has my respect as an intense angler. Even the skishers gotta have some respect on that
Marc - great pics and stories! It is even better as this is our winter about to come on and we've already had some 20 degree mornings (-5 to you).

Hope you all had a great new years!
I spent new years on the end of the longest jetty in the southern hemispher.
Busselton Jetty
http://www.busseltonjetty.com.au/
The 140-year-old Busselton Jetty, measured at 1841 metres, is the longest wooden jetty (pier) in the southern hemisphere and one of Australia's most unique eco-tourism sites.
It was freezing cold at about 5am haha caught lots of fish like tailor (bluefish) Sorry no pictures this time
Seen some mackeral / tuna caught on lures in the morning though.
This jetty i great for fishing

Happy New Year
Happy New Year to all. I caught this mulloway at 3 in the morning and couldn't find my camera. Too big for the esky so had to fillet it and took photo later in daylight of carcass for proof/brag. I live south of Perth but went a little further this weekend. 1.2mts 16 kilo. My first mulloway the boys were impressed! Back to the point in 11 weeks!

Wow! Thats a kind of surf fishing that is beyond anything we have here. You guys are lucky to enjoy that kind of fishing esp without crowds.
I gotta make it out that way sometime. We lack the deep water so close to shore with the heat....
That is a hellaof gaff you have there to hoist up the fish from that distance!

That's a beautiful spot Stax, but I personally couldn't fish off a cliff that high! Perhaps if I had enough lead in my boots to stop me casting myself off the edge I might
Some fantastic fish I must say.

Dave,
Remember most of the time we are only fishing 20-30 feet up. The pictures of the 300 foot cliff we only fish for acouple of hours a day. Its just too much hard work to fish all the time.
Fishing from 20-30 feet is fine, sometimes its actually an advantage as you can see the large Peligics coming.
So who's up for a trip to Steep Point?
