Talking S-B BENEFIT AUCTION: STUFFED NIGHT PLUG BAG..AND A ROD AND REEL AND A BUSHEL OF CLAMS

Okay, time to do a “stuffed night plug bag and a rod and reel and a bushel of chowder clams to boot” benefit auction for S-B.

I want to give back something to the wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable community of fisher-people here, and maybe help JohnR out defraying some of the costs of maintaining this site.

Just in time for the holidays!

Please read carefully before bidding!

1) This auction is open to CURRENT S-B MEMBERS in good standing.

1.5) You can bid jointly with a fellow member/members if the bidding gets up there.

2) HELP STUFF THE BAG! Current members are encouraged to donate a plug on this auction to sweeten the pot. Donors can still bid. PLEASE TAKE A PEEK AT THE NEXT POST ON THIS THREAD FOR A LIST OF GENEROUS S-B MEMBERS WHO HAVE DONATED TO THE AUCTION POT!

3) Maximum bidding increment for the remainder of the last bidding day, Monday December 15, has now been relaxed to TEN DOLLARS. ($10).

4) Auction to end no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on December 15, 2003. I reserve the right to call the auction sooner if there hasn’t been any bidding activity after 24 consecutive hours following last bid.

5) Following conclusion of auction, winner will have 24 hours to remit $$$ via Pay-Pal link at the bottom of this site, or make suitable arrangements with JohnR.

Okay, here is the plug bag. It is brand new. It is a large BW Sports nylon bag with nine tubes. It holds a lot of big wood and plastic. Two straps – one for the shoulder and one for the waist. Side pocket for leader/terminal tackle. Web pouch. Also – a slot to put your pliers in. Great little bag.

What would a plug bag be without plugs? Here they are. Most (if not all!) of them are new, and the assortment reflects plugs I’ve successfully used at night this past season in New England.: (Sorry for the crappy photo).

Left Column (Top To Bottom):

1) Habs custom 2 oz needle, blurple
2) Tattoo custom darter, blurple
3) 7” Bomber custom-order swimmer, blurple
4) Tony Stetzko custom Mr. Wiggly swimmer, blurple

Right Column (Top To Bottom):

1) Beachmaster Danny metal lip swimmer, black and gold
2) 7” Mambo Minnow swimmer, black back gold foil side
3) Bassmaster custom fatboy danny plug, all-yellow
4) Bassmaster custom danny plug, blurple

Last plug on bottom row:

Yo-Zuri Mag Darter, blue back, black translucent body

Not pictured but included ... black Beachmaster Cowboy surfster AND a yellow Bassmaster Pikie

***ALL PLUGS HAVE A HEALTHY DOLLOP OF HOOTERS CHICKEN WING GREASE ON 'EM***

LOOK AT NEXT POST ON THIS THREAD FOR OTHER GENEROUS MEMBER DONATIONS TO THE AUCTION POT!

Happy bidding.
