Ok I thought the 15th looked the best also. John what do you think? Maybe the S-B Cuttyhunk derby should be on the 15th to the 16th. Canalratt I will bring the deer burgers and steaks and the grill if you will leave the deer alone. Also some wild boar chops. If anyone wants anything other than deer or boar just bring it or we can set it up to have some regular burgers and hot dogs to do on the grill. John I am making up some maps of the south shore and will have them laminated so every one will know where they are and some good spots to fish.

AH JOhn I vote GB to be logostics Man on all tournies. Laminated maps You are too good to us. Make sure your mark all lunker spots, and in return I will keep Canalratt away from the deer. I may even bring some venison out if I have any left.

Alright AnthonyN your on the list. My wife said the same thing but after meeting John R and Tattoo,Crafty,Milo,Bloocrab,Fish Eye at the East Bay show I knew this gang was harmless. And we will be going to Cuttyhunk to FISH, its a dry island so you can not buy any alcohol on the island. I'm not sure but they look to be harmless to the fish too

Anthony it's not the majority you have to be careful about, it's that BM guy, because he wants to make lovers out of the key people he meets and GB might now be on the top of his hit list .

Hey Bloo it would be great to have some chourico. I am making a list of what everyone wants to bring and will be sure that we don,t starve. Specialist the maps are done and I did mark all the spots I did best at 20 or so years ago.

Crafty I can put you on fish just off the road and on the beach. But don't worry I will work on something for us with my old friend Donna Veeder. I have a bad back and can't do the cliff thing like I use to and Donna has a nice Johndeer rig on the island and we go wayyyyyyy back as friends and family. I can also talk to Asa the harbor master about getting a lift around he is the caretaker for the house.

Thanks, GB -
I'm definitely not the lazy type, most of my favorite spots require a walk and a good bit of scrambling - I'll wear out the boots on a pair of waders long before the seat of the pants and usually live in my korkers and fish rocks 98% of the time anyway.
Just haven't been there and was curious about the layout - I did read Charlie Soares article about it though.
But I know what you mean about the back - I have to be careful myself - if it goes, it's nobody's idea of fun, I can tell ya.

CRAFTY THE SHORE IS GREAT FOR FISHING AROUND MOST OF THE ISLAND BUT NOT TO GOOD FOR WALKING AND THE FEW ROADS THERE ARE WELL THEY GO UP HILL BOTH WAYS IF YOU KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING. BUT WE WILL HAVE 24 HOURS TO GET ALL THE WAY AROUND IT. THE ROAD GOING TO THE WEST END IS OK TO WALK ON BUT ONCE YOU GO DOWN TO THE SHORE ITS TOUGH TO GET BACK UP THE CLIFFS. BUT THAT WHOLE SHORE IS GREAT SO YOU SHOULD FISH IT ALL THE WAY TO THE WEST END AND THEN GO BACK ON TO THE ROAD AS IT COMES DOWN TO THE WATER THERE.

Is there an anchporage or moorings available? Would love to bring down the 1957 Beals Island my brother and I spent 3 years refurbishing

You mean Mr. Morgan??? Oh we had some good times.......but alot of bad times too. Why does someone always want to fight?
Fish-Eye, that case of Maggie show up from across the ocean yet????
Now that I think of it, anyone know where there is some Sam "Cranberry Lambec". I had it twice, but have been unable to locate any since. I think it's a seasonal thing.

yeah, i've taken a few swings with mr. morgan. he hits ya pretty hard sometimes. and he's still kicking you the next day!
ahh, cranberry lambec. i've been looking too. i had one this winter, but it was bad - wasn't cared for properly. i think they are only available in the seasonal sample packs. you get like 2 of each flavor. i haven't seen it sold separately. maybe we need a "3-hour tour" of "sam's house"...i'm game!

Nope, mine didn't come in a sample pack. It was more like a quart size bottle.
Maybe we need to put up some missing persons posters?
A three hour tour???? They give a tour??? I will have to gather the troops for this one! Oh honey we are just going to a fishing show to give Eye-Ball some moral support, yeah that'll work.

Nightfighter
Nightfighter there are moorings in the harbor for 25.00 per night from the town. Call Asa Lumbard at 508-990-7578 he is the harbormaster and will save one for you. But you can not call till sometime in May as the town has the phone shut off for the winter.I think they also take all the water out of the harbor in the winter to clean it There are also some private moorings out side the harbor from Frog Pond Marine vhf ch 9.

Not sure yet I need to see when John is doing the RI leg of the S-B derby. But it looks good right now. Red CRBBR a few of my customers have summer places on the river and one told me he caught a few schoolies out of a deep hole out of the river the other day. I know New Bedford harbor has winter over fish but I had never heard of the Westport haveing any? What do you think? Not to much deep water!

15th of June sounds great to me, I already have blessings from TheBetterHalf (you guys are lucky yer wife isn't always checking you up online ) - just kidding honey . Seriously, the 15th works great if that's OK with everyone. I was thinking the weekend before might be bigger as it's the backside of the moon with evening high tides but I don't know that Island... So maybe do Cutty one weekend and the S-B Rhody leg the next? Or is tha too tight for people?
I think we'll schedule the S-B Rhody leg in around June 9th or 15th (depending on Cutty) with the Mass leg in early July.

Ummm, I don't know about that statement John. If you see BM online during the day, it may not be BM. if you know what I mean.
That reminds me, I should be working right now.
