Just bumped in to Karl F at hospital. I was heading in to get stitched up, stupid me . He was heading up
To see Tony. He seemed optimistic that he was doing better.

FWIW, Tony never did hold the all-tackle record. He held the "unofficial" shore record, and co-holds the state record with Charlie Cinto.

And AFAIK, Bertha is still the second largest bass ever taken from shore.

What was the largest shore-caught bass? Rochetta's was by boat, right?
