Credit where credit is due!!!
I would like to thank west coast friend "Winchmaster" for sending me the lip I sent to Tinman.
And thanks to Tinman for taking the ball and running with it.
Diamond Tackle makes the best lips in the business.

Thanks again Capesams! I'll let Tinny know!
As for the burr, I think he's looking into a different media for the polishing step. The ones being shipped should be deburred nicely!!!

I got my samples today and just returned from a water test.
They pass with flying colors, but I expected no less.
As capesams said a minor burr area at the bottom, but the plug swims AWESOME.

Sorry for the delay guys.
Just completed a large batch. so all orders will be out tomorrow if not already sent. I had to make an improvement on the polishing step, to remove all the little burrs and get a nice shiny finish. This Stainless is thicker than i was used to working with. I dont want to bore you with the details , but it made a big difference.
thanks
JD

Tinman,
Any chance you could make some danny and pikie lips out of the same stainless as the surfsters??? If you did I bet you'd have some happy campers

Just Bigger... I dont know dimensions off the top, but I make some that go 9" (jointed) that need a bit more than the danny's I got from NJtackle... maybe one size up from the D-2 lip?

Danny lips 1.25" wide (even 1.375") would be on some of the 3-4 oz swimmers I make.

Original Pikie lips size. The Moores are too big but will work on larger pikies. Capesams has some original most likely. I can measure one from the 70's but that is all I have.
I got my lips today, they look great
Now I just need to borrow a friends original surfster if someone would be kind enough to lend me one so I can make some knock-offs.

No what I meant was making your danny lips out of a thicker stainless... One rock later and the lip gets all banged up. I'd happily pay a few ¢ more for a beefier lip thats all
