Wish I had read Bloos post before going back over all the other posts to see who was coming and bringing what Thanks for the post Bloo looks like you have the list right. Now PLEASE can everyone that is coming post a yes to going and to bringing what they are listed as bringing. Red Chet is making two trips Fri evening the first at 6:00 pm the second at or near 7:15 pm. Is the parking alset for Fri night??? And how are you all going to get to Chets boat over near Davy's Locker???? Lets get this nailed down now so it all goes smooth on Fri. Goose how about a car pool to the boat all at once for the 6:00 pm boat and then the second group can wait there for the ride over and all will be ready to go. And hopfully no one gets left behind. This worked well back in June. Is this setup ok for all or is there some other way you would like to set this up. I will be on the island some time in the afternoon after fishing the morning tide over to Quicks hole and Robinsons hole so someone else needs to take charge of this like last time!! Any volunteers ?????

Ps Bloo I love cows tongue!!!!

I'm there, fellas. Java too. GB, just let me know which boat you want me to meet up with. I will be at Red's lot one hour before the scheduled departure. I am flexible for either boat, so who is going at 6, and who is going at 7?

Ross I would like to see everyone get there for 5:00-5:30 that way everyone can check in and ride over to the dock were Chet picks up. Its up to you guys then to split it up into two groups 6-7 and the second group can hang at the dock for about an hour or so for Chet to return for the second trip.

And is anyone interested in a pool of some sorts?
Weather looks good for Friday anyway so let's keep our fingers crossed....
Hoping to get replacement parts for Okuma spool in time for Cutty......
GB, need any tools brought over this trip?

Here are directions to Red's :

directions are as follows.
from providence
195 east to 140 north(exit 12b i think), take exit 3 (hathaway road) at the end of the ramp turn left. proceed to the first set of lights and turn left(the diner will be at the lights on your right) the shop is appx. 1/3 of a mile on the right. just look for the AMI sign or some kind of a hint(s-b cutty sign).
from points north. there are 2 ways you can run. 495 south to 195 west to 140 north. or rte 24 south to rte 140 south. it doesn't matter which direction you are coming from at the bottom of the hathaway road exit(exit 3) you still turn left. proceed to the first set of lights and turn left. appx. 1/3 of a mile on the right look for the AMI sign.
i'll be there early and if anyone has any questions. post them or pm me.

I hope my boss lets me sneak out a little early on Friday. If anyone needs sleeping bag sports authority has some on sale for like 13 bucks.

I will pick you folks up at the Frederick Street Boat Ramp which is on East Rodney French Boulevard, just South of the Hurricanne Barrier Gate. There is a long Tee shaped Pier there and I will be at the end of the Pier before 6:00 P. M. on Friday evening.
Bring your gear down on the pier and we will get it loaded aboard and get you guys underway and dropped off and then I will come back for the rest of the gears and guys.
If the first load is ready earlier we will get going so I can get back for the second load!

Come down Route 18 South to the stop lighta at Fleet Bank and First Citizens Credit Union.
Turn LEFT, and follow the road around and to the Gate in the Hurricane Barrier. The Boat Ramp is on the left just through the Dike and the Pier is next to the Ramp.

See you there!

I just corrected my mis-direction. It is a LEFT TURN at the end of Route 18!

ok, so it does look like everyone is going over on friday, i will be at the shops parking lot around 5 also, and will stay there and catch the last ride out with goose. Greg.. just wondering if there might be any extra freezer space available to keep some bait frozen? mackrel tends to get soggy after a day. i will bring the 2 frs radios i have(motorolas). think walmart had some on sale for 13-14 bucks. do yo think 3 dozen eggs will be enough or should i bring more. what about TP? i can bring a roll or two.

Red I have the tp coverd thanks. I think 3 Dz will do on the eggs and thanks again for setting up the parking and Goose thanks for the shuttle service. I will turn the freezer in the porch on as soon as I get there so we will have lots of freezer space for bait. If anyone else has radios please bring them. It was nice to be able to sit in the nice dry house and talk to you guys out there in the rain back in June. And Chet thanks for making it possable for a Fri night trip over. I think you guys should also talk now about what time you wish to come back on Sunday that way Chet can plan the trips back now. I will be coming back mid morning on Sunday as I have a family get together for noon that I must be at unless the fish are biting real good then the wind may keep me from coming back till Sunday night.

Ross, I would head down real early and kick around to check things out if I were you. Just too much to go wrong on one of the last fridays of summer. You have an hour drive to the expressway if there is no traffic (never happens) 25 minutes to RT24 with no traffic (yeh, right) then 24 to 495/140 depending on how you go the last 30 miles again hoping for no traffic.... In other words, plan on getting there a couple hours early and find those Hab's poppers closer to the boat ...

The fishing off of the Tee Pier at Frederick Street Boat Ramp is good. Bass, Albies, Bluefish, Scup all possibilities!

As stated before. If I get over there at 1715 and there are 6 bodies we be going early.

GB and all,
I am sorry, but I need to pull out for this upcoming weekend. After not speaking for at least 8 months, my dear old mother calls and says she is visiting Boston on the 5th thorugh the weekend. She does this kind of sh_t all the time. Sorry I won't rant about my family issues here. GB if there is room can you put me on the Oct. list? Sorry for the late pullout. Man I can't belive I am going to miss this weekend.

P.S. GB thanks for the invite anyway. It is very appreciated.

I was lucky to get out of the house last time without divorce papers (Just kidding to my wonderfull wife) ...

But should be a go this time... They'll be pre-cooked but will need to go in the oven (the oven works, right?) to reheat...

I went into work this morning, and asked my boss if I could leave early on friday. I told him what was going on, he said take the day.

The bad news is my Nautil crapped the bed, pure fishing is sending a replacement out today 2nd day ups. If it does'nt get here in time I will go fri am fish the canal, and then visit with Mike to see if he has anymore. I could always use a back up.

Ross if yo got friday off give me a pm, maybe we can hook up fish the am and then head to red's.

John I was wondering if maybe I should bring the 9wt over. I am not very good with it, but if some want to try it out, it might be a good place. What do you think?

Yes John the oven works so bring on the sheppards pie Also I just looked at the list and there are only 6 going over on Fri night . That will be Red, Goose, Specialist, Bloocrab, Nightfighter, Joeangler. Chris, Milo, and John are going with me Fri. morning and Duke 41 is coming in his boat Fri pm or Sat am. So Chet that will be only one trip over ok? So the earlyer you can get to the boat the earlyer Chet will have you all on the island. Also Goose this will make it only one shuttle to the pier, do you know were it is? Don't forget your sleeping bag if you plan to sleep. And Goose can you bring the tent I cleared the front yard all out and have a great place for it and some may want to sleep out doors on the ground and not in the house on the floor as the weather looks to be great sunny and warm.

Joe just follow Specialist's directions and you will find it ok. Please try to get there by 5:00 so all will be ready to go by 5:30 the latest. Sorry but no dogs please we have a cat at the house and I would not want to have a fight on ours hands. We have two grills so we are all set but thanks anyway. Are you going to bring some soda? And as far as Sunday trip back goes that will be up to all of you that are coming back with Chet and what time Chet would like to return. If you have trouble getting to the parking lot call me at 508-958-5649 if I do not pick up just leave a number that I can call you right back at.
