Face it, between OTW and the NE Angling, the northeast has been covered, nearly every species inshore, offshore and onshore using every method has been filmed. Last week I watched guys catching porgies (scup) and winter flounder...that is how bad it is. All the formally "secret" places that were rarely fished have now been fully exposed.
Next week we should be seeing how to catch and cook dogfish and cunners. Dalberg is an entertaining guy but mostly does fairly exotic locations that 99% of fishermen will never see. I like Jose too but even his shows are getting a little predicable now.
My favorite OTW show was the Cinto relives, I think what the did with the old footage, the music, the boats and all was touching. I think a lot more thought and planning went into that show than dragging spreader bars off Chatham for 40" tuna.
I would like to see a reality show format about fishery management and the behind the scenes illegal comm fishing busts.
IMO I think you will see OTW drop the TV show. Their show is stale with way too many repeats. Advertising on that show is costly. Boating companies are REALLY hurting. Add the two up and you will see a drop of advertising revenue. Also, I noticed there seemd to be a lot fewer ads in this months OTW...although there was a nice side profile of #^^^^^^^^^^^&...
