Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
Proverb 13:12

My joy of receiving late is far greater than the ones got their Spiderwire earlier.

..also got mine Thanks Mike...

Check your Pms.

...Ross, just enough mono to cover the core (no holidays though). You want to go with 15-17# mono. The thinner diameter will give you a better grip for the braid. With thicker monos, some braids may part the fibers and find their way to the spool's core, and if enough of them do...the spinning may still occur, you DON'T want to find that out on a fish of a life-time. The mono works as a spool "grip". As the braid tightens up on the mono, it will squeeze the mono to the spool core instead of just tightening up on the bare core, and spinning away on you.

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Got mine, and mom got her's! "Ross, WTF is this?" or something a little more polite, but she was confused when she opened it up!

Bloo, thanx for the feedback on mono backing for the braid.

Birds working herring this week off Devereaux beach and in Marblrhead harbor according to Marblehead Surfcasting Club member, but no reports as no one wetting a line yet.

Mike, thank you
