Got into a great feed yesterday. Got em on the fly and topwater. They started on the smaller side and got bigger as the day went on.
Heres my buddy tight on the 3 wt.!!!! Sick fight, and landed.

Got on the board today. Hope the weather holds up and they stick around a bit.
Hit them from shore today and was planning yak tomorrow. Probably should have done it the other way around. Wind and surf are supposed to pick up tomorrow.

Nice vid! that's awesome, he will be hooked for life!
congrats everybody on funny fish! ALBEEEEEEEZ!!!!
I have issues I know. I'm ok with it
Sometimes these fish get fussy, when they do, (like yesterday for me, lots of boats there, about 6 other kayaks). I usually switch to a funky color called a tutti fruity, its either pink over chartreuse, or chartreuse over pink (which is what i like). my flies are simple, pattern doesn't matter, its just the color.
those 2 colors reflect a ton of UV light (or whatever companies use to die the materials that color), when I shine my UV flashlight on them (the one used for curing UV glue), they light up like a christmas tree. If you have one of those UV lights, shine it on various fly tying materials or even some lures and see the results.
it works for me, figured it might be worth mentioning!

Phew for a minute there I thought I was going to get lumped into that statement.
Much slower and way way more crowded today. Managed a few and felt very lucky I did.

You were lumped in there and I'm not excluding myself from the statement either!

Very crowded in all the spots I checked out yesterday but Albies were there. Only a couple to the boat for a few hrs fishing. Covered quite some ground too. Fly guys seemed to be doing best at every spot with amount hooked/landed.

I will be in Hyannis early tomorrow morning. Do I have a shot from shore anywhere? Craigsville?

If I lived up that way, I would go talk a walk on that big breakwall. One of those spots Ive always wanted to go fish, but never made it that far east.
I figured I would share my favorite pic so far this year, my moochy dog doing what she does best. for me nothing beats a fly rod shore caught alby, they have no place to go but out, into my backing everytime!

I'm definitely the wrong guy to ask about that,,, :-) but
Ummm, if I had to pick a spot, the jetty at Kalmars beach on the right day, things slowed down today considerably
Good luck

Think this wind will effectively kill any good shot of getting them from shore? I've made a few trips this year and had a few shots but haven't landed one yet. Picky fish or dirty water when I've found them.

I went 4 for 6 yesterday just blind casting once the boat crowds thinned out, however I did put in about 6 hrs. all mine came on a white and tan fly.
wind today looks good. the storm wednesday into thursday looks crappy for the inshore albies, some strong winds coming...
