One fish from last night.
Almost not worth uploading it having to send it from my phone to my computer to do it.

smaller Bass from last night. Guys I know in the area all (mostly) did better than I. Was really dragging bottom. I think my jig head was too heavy with the moon phase and broke off on the bottom 2x in a place I've never seen anyone snag on the bottom. That is the only thing I can think off (other than they are better than me)?

From this past weekend, it was cold at the ramp. Took a little bit for my son to get at it between a 5 am wakeup call and 30 degree air temp, the first pic is of him, half fighting the glare off the water and half being cold despite the layers of gear. 1 hot chocolate changed everything for the better and my first mate was back in the game. My brother Andy, who works for Tesla doing solar roof installs in CT wasn't sure if he'd have to work or not, was able to join us.

This thread had a great opening by Rappin Mikey and his Striper pics. And a wonderful last page (so far) with PaulS's Striper pics. Spring through November covered.
Great season. Sigh.

My surf season is showing signs that the end is near as far as big fish opportunities are concerned, but there are still some decent fish poking around here and there. I posted these pics on IG the other day but figured you guys would geta kick out of them as well. That is a JLH Skonrad with a Mustad 4/0 5x treble. I was more impressed with what the fish did to the lip than pissed off I lost her as it has been a very good season. I haven't had the numbers of years past but my big fish (30#+) total is up.

Those things are great. Not everyday you get a lure named after you. My fishing buddies are so Jelly. I was very honored when Mike reached out to me to let me know he was doing this.

Toby it never surprises me anymore how fish can mutilate plugs. Lips are thin and not much pressure is needed to distort. 5X hooks are tougher than vmc. Still when the fish leverages its power and a possible jawbone purchase, even they're no match. Still a great chance to fight the beast!!
Maybe a 5/0 5x .
