I've thought about puttin a ''L'' bracket to mount an outboard on my rig. How do I know if the hull is right for that and if it's strong enough?

The boat I have is a 1971 in pretty good shape. I don't even know where to start lookin for the spec's . Plus, it being an older boat I'ld want to make sure I'm doin the right thing. Or this could lead to my divorce

My parents have most of there family here, and in canada, I think that played a big roll. They visted Bermuda last year.Still plenty there (greenys) and the cost of living is way high.Labor's work 7 days a week and long hours. My dad's good freind owns one of the few landscapin bussiness's there,he knows the island well.
