Wink Boston Harbor Stiped Bass Report for 5/20

Well the boat got launched on Tuesday Morning and we had to take it out for a shake down run Wed, so I called my trusty fishing pal Pam Kearney and we got to the boat around 6 am. The game plan was to get the boat all checked out and then go do some fishing recon for upcoming charters this weekend.

Everything in the boat is working great and she is running like a top. So we headed out to find some Mackerel to live line for Striped Bass. We hit a few early season spots and they were not marking so we headed further out and about in about 40 min we had a full live well and were ready to find some bass.

We cover alot of water and ended up having a great day for the first day of the season. Total was a dozen Stripers, averaging between 18 & 25 lbs and we also got a couple smaller bass just over Keeper size around 28 - 31 inches. I did get one nice big bassie at 33 lbs and around 43 inches. All fish were released to fight another day.

The fish were covered with sea lice and hitting hard, I had one fish around 23 lbs that took about 10-15 min to land, that fish fought harder that the 33 lber.

If you want to get out and catch one of these beautiful fish just give us a call or shoot me an email and we will get you scheduled.

I will put the pictures up in the photo section so you can check them out!!!
