Son's first ride.

Took out a Christmas present for my son yesterday. Got it all charged up and he was ready to go. Let him ride it today. He just turned 2 about 2 months ago so he had a little bit of a hard time at first but when he got the hang of it he was fine. It was so funny watching this little kid cruise around the yard. What a great experience.

Nice pic Tynan!

I have 3 small kids and started out doing the same thing when they were the same age.
You said "all charged up and ready to go" so I assume it's either 6 or 12 volt electric.
This is just my opinion,
But, when he is another year older or when it's time to replace the tractor,
ONLY buy pedal power toys like that!
In my opinion, kids today are for the most part fat and lazy!!!
Between the computer, video games, nintendo, gameboys, and every other thing that we can buy for them to NOT get any physical exercise!
When I was a kid we would ride our big wheels till we wore down the tires to nothing!!!
Kids today just press a button to make the toy go and as they get older and get to be teenagers it just esculates!!!
And god forebid you ask the average teenager today to help you do yard work or something else like that,
they either ask you how much you're going to pay them or like most of the disrespectful kids today , they tell you to f off!!!
These are just my opinions, but they work for me and I bet if you were to ask anyone who knows my kids , they would tell you how well behaved they are, and I can assure you, they are not "fat and lazy" !!!

Couldn't agree with you more Ron. 12v When I was a kid all we did was play outside. I went through so many big wheels. You name it we did it. From sports to forts and everything in between. I like your adivice on the pedals thanks. My wife and I are pretty active people and so are our families. I think if more families spend time with their kids doing things outdoors there wouldn't need to be all the video games.Of course playing games with your son is good family time also, just limit it.

Raven so true I was wiped after following him for a few hours. The yard is to big and good thing it can't go into the fields.

Took him on Thursday. We caught a big rainbow in the first five minutes. It was jumping out of the water and he was thrilled. But he said me wanna catch wittle fish. I was rolling. Greatest joy in the world. Can't wait till he can reel in by himself.

Nice!!!
Just wait till he turns 6 and after you let him drive the boat
(with me on constant lookout)
He tells you when coming in the river to the marina,
"I WANT TO DOCK THE BOAT"

Reminds me of a toy I had growing up - but it was pettle power.

i had a john deere tractor with a wagon. It was peddle power and was horrible off the pavement/blacktop. But it was great.

Kids now a days - have no idea what a "sit and spin" is or a "green machine" or "lawn darts." Maybe somethings are for the best.

A friend of mine during the college years wrote a psychology paper, the thesis was that "the sit and spin was responsible for all of the worlds troubles." It was a funny presentation - not a great grade if I remember.

Tynan - cute kid, great day, moments to remember - priceless.

These kids grow up so fast.
